So on yesterday's conversations......

The club obviously has an issue with Reina. Non existent comments, form, his cost salary wise?

Interesting to see if he goes & where.

 

what do we reckon will happen now then.

Mignolet goes back to Sunderland on loan until next season (covering his wages as well hopefully) for when Reina leaves ie Barca and ready made replacement for him.

Keep both, at least for this coming season and fight for their place.

Reina goes elsewhere,Arsenal maybe?

 

I wonder if we are planning on keeper Reina for a year. Valdes stated that he is staying for 1 more year then will leave when his contract is up. Wonder if Rodgers thinks we need to get a keeper sorted now, this way we have strong competition, Reina might pick up his form and increase his value by another couple of million and then we can sell to Barca for £10mil+ and have a keeper with a years experience with us already in hand.

Only thing is, can't see both Reina & Mignolet being happy not being 1st choice week in week out.

 

What if Barca want to cash in rather than lose Valdes for free next year?

 

Then we can sell him this year. I'm just coming frm the angle that Valdes stays, and Barca are the only place that he'd want to go.

Personally, I can't see us spending over £10m on a keeper if Reina is staying. Not when we need to improve other areas of the team / squad so much.

 

Barca don't need a keeper in 90% of their games, having 2 is just greedy

If we sign Mignolet I personally don't think Reina will stay as Mignole wouldn't have wanted to come to be a number 2 in a WC season. Just playing devil's advocate to strike up discussion

 

i know all the not many bigger clubs than Liverpool blah blah, but anyone reckon he would go to Arsenal?

i know he wants to go to Barca, but the gooners need a decent keeper and they have Cl football, could do well there.

just read on koptalk that they are saying Brendan wants to shift Reina before window closes preferably abroad, so maybe Arsenal could end up being an option if Barca don't want Reina now and we sell.

 

BBC are reporting £9m. Who is more reliable? Is that like asking whether you'd rather eat a brick or rock?

I watched each of these live lol. He still goes down like the local hooker on the ball & tackles like scholes off the ball. Lets see if the transition from hero worship brazilorefs to Spanish gives him so many hugs
