I have kept my powder dry for a while now & resisted going on the Leeds board to vent my opinion, but I have finally cracked!

We have a decent Manager (for once), he has identified his transfer targets, lined up the deals & still doesn't know if the Board are going to back him financially!!

Come on GFH, you said at the start of your tenure that January wasnt a good time to do much business in the transfer market.
Well I hate to break it to you chaps, but its frigging JUNE now!
Whats the excuse going to be this time??
Fail us now after building the optimism of the downtrodden moral of thousands, following years of purgatory under Capt. Birdseye & you will face the wrath of the fans big time.

You will probably lose our manager (who would blame him) if you dont back him, after all he is only trying to impliment what you claim to want - a long overdue return to the Premier League.

Show your worth or forever be labelled as Bates' stooges, because this is the exact same tactic he used in his time here, the only difference at the minute is you have stopped short of calling us Morons!

We have faith in the Manager, the Jury is still out on you guys so step up to the plate, grasp the nettle, use whatever analogy you like, just DO THE RIGHT THING.

On a side note - you are an investment BANK - bloody well give yourselves an interest free loan then & pay yourselves back when we get promoted!

    M.O.T.

Your forgetting one important detail though, GFH know absolute zero about running a football club and consequently haven't a clue what it will take to get back to the premiership. Relying on the relics of our last administration to advise them.
That same administration that spent ten years telling us of the folly of paying transfer fees or proper wages.
Be under no illusion, this lot will not improve us without substantial help from investors. Last season was over at Xmas, the next will be no better unless a major change in the GFH gameplan

Eire next season will be over by next Thursday if we have signed no players. Pre season starts then and BMD has spoken to 7 players who all want to join. He said he wants the deals done before training starts next week. If nobody comes in we know GFH are just another bunch of carpet baggers.

<doh> people don't give anyone a chance do they. How many clubs in this league have signed more than 1 player? Doubt they are worrying anywhere near as much as some Leeds fans are about funds. Give em a chance aye?

All us supporters/fans want is for the owners to be feckin honest. If there's no money just say so. I know the transfer window isn't open yet(so no smart arse comments regarding that fact) but surely they can make some sort of announcement regarding finances. FFS I mean are they going to wait till the season has started...<grr>

Is it really wise to make an announcement about your finances just before you enter the market....................................

No because any player's price will go up if the selling club know how much you have! <doh>

I'm not looking for them to come out and say how much they have. But they could say that they are backing the manager and the money is available for his targets.

I would have thought BMc would have asked about a transfer kitty for this season during is interview for the job and he was promised one, if he doesn't get the players he wants he's been lied to, and should tell them to stick their job up their arses and let us Leeds fans know the truth.
But i'm with Josh, lets wait and see who comes in before we get carried away with ourselves, after all, there doesn't seem to be much activity elsewhere at the moment.

Howya OneLeeds. Agree with you. It'll be interesting when the transfer window does open though, we should know then what ambitions the board have.

I wouldn't blame him if he did, but we'll just have to wait and see what the owners say. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Dont say I didnt tell you so!
Not a tin pot to piss in!
BMcD has basically said he's got to sell before he can bring in the players he wants, because GFH are chasing their tails trying to get "investment" into the club as they have NO MONEY themselves.
So all the talk in January from Patel saying it wasnt a good transfer window to do business in was just smoke & mirrors to delay revealing the truth about our lack of cash!

To be fair a lot of us saw through GFH early on, with other fans, it was simply wishful thinking they would be any good. That's understandable after our recent record, people wanting to believe positive things would happen without reading too much into GFH. There were loads of financial statements flying around stating they had no money. It's no fun being right in this case though mate, I'm sure you'll agree

The last thing I wanted to be in this scenario was right.
Only Leeds could be bought by a load of SKINT middle eastern Bankers!

We shouldn't be surprised really, they're an investment bank, their aim is to achieve maximum profit from minimum risk.
If by selling their shares 10% at a time they eventually double their original investment, as in the words of Billy Davies - job done. It matters not one iota whether promotion is achieved or not, the ultimate goal is an increase on their original stake.
I'd say a comfortable mid to upper league position, with crowds hovering around 20k and maybe a cup run would suit them very nicely.
So nothing's changed at all really, still loosely connected to other Bates companies, too much so for my liking.
