Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is a "pioneer" who has transformed football in his decade at the club, ex-sporting director Frank Arnesen has said in the Five Live Monday night programme http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22944070 Anyone know how to listen to old radio transmissions? Can't find it on the Bbc website
I think all TRUE Blues will know this for sure! Ken Bates gave up when he knew he couldn't take us to the promised land! But we still owe Ken a big thank you!
The next stage will be the new stadium - whenever & wherever that turns out to be. Listening to the radio recently, there is talk of new "super-prisons", with a large number of existing ones being closed & the land sold off. Anyone know if any nearby prisons might be suitable in terms of location / size / access? Could that be a possibility?
Read that article, and Its pure bollox. RA is a businessman, and not the first businessman to buy a sports team, pioneer my arse, he is a gangster with seriously nasty friends and some of his money has blood all over it. not a pop at your club guys but that article is bollox.
Al Fayed was the only foreign owner in the PL when RA arrived. Only a fool would deny RA's arrival drastically changed the PL, whether you think it was for the good or bad is a matter of opinion. But I'd rather enter the season not definitely knowing who will win the league this season than being able to pretty much bank on Man U winning it with the odd Arsenal success here and there. People need to read up about the history of Russia, collapse of Soviet Union and Oligarchy before spouting the lazy, xenophobic "Russian Gangster" mantra, also the work he has done in Chukotka and other areas which the Russian government abandoned. He's no saint and has undoubtedly trodden on toes to get where he is, but he isn't the second coming of the Devil either.
100% agree Sisu, the man is a gangster, thug, and should be booted out the country. Anyone who don't believe it,read about the scum on Wiki
yarno canary, which team do you support? I think your being harsh on roman who has been good for the premier league.
If you mean inflating wages to players and agents. Increasing the cost to see a game for average fan.he has been good.
