as per my above post thus technically makes it worse in my opinion. All the teams could dump their young drivers, run their race drivers and go testing with no penalty?
Money talks. The sport is too SOFT to punish a giant like Mercedes in the fear it will leave. they were guilty and got a slap on the wrist. Mercedes announced this morning they will pull out of the young drivers test anyway
It has left little snitch Horner looking rather foolish though. All that **** he was stirring has ended up on his face.
So the FIA and the English FA having a contest for the most toothless governing body? What a let off for Mercedes
Really felt the need to say this sport has become a joke in recent years. It is not Formula "1" anymore, for many reasons.Lemans, DTM and other series have more value. F1 is turning into WWE after the attitude era/WWF.
So Its worth testing illegally now then. All you need is Buttons signature and away you go. Nothing to lose! I feel sorry for the young Mercedes Talent who are getting punished for this
Well that's a let down. Can Imagine Horner must be fuming after all the effort he put into making sure Mercedes got a punishment. The sport is in a real mess right now.
The FIA are not fit for purpose. They cannot enforce the rules they make at any level. Too worried about negative publicity caused by banning teams/suppliers etc for clear rule breaks and the financial loss to the sport by these companies and their sponsors leaving. Hopefully when Bernie leaves, more power will go back to the FIA in running F1
lol pathetic, i'd love to see all the emails/phone calls pirelli get from the other teams now demanding their own private testing session. I think Silverstone will tell how much of an advantage they gained though, Monaco and Canada don't really have any long high speed bends which do the tyres in. But yeah letting them use their current car and them trying to disguise their drivers, i mean lol wtf, they're just advertising F1 as some do-whatever-you-like competition. They're lucky it hasn't gone the way of WRC with barely any teams even bothering to enter.
Think I'm going to drop F1 after this and do WEC from 2014 on wards, after this I don't think I'll be the only 1 to do so either.
The only thing I'd say about the DTM............... it's like watching paint dry. Truly dreary racing based on the last few races I have watched on ESPN at Brands Hatch and Lausitzring
