Apparently the meeting took place today. Anybody had any info what transpired?? I guess we will know on Sky Sports tomorrow if it went bad when the ticker on the foot of the screen says "Breaking News: Brian McDermott resigns as Leeds Manager after being told the Club dont have a pot to piss in" Lets hope this DOESNT happen!
What was the point in all the takeover malarky last year if they didn't want to spend any money? Is Santa still there?
Of course he's still there. Haigh is in Bhutan, Noorudin and Patel are in Bahrain, so who did Big Mac have to present his begging bowl to yesterday? Only leaves the chuckle brothers please log in to view this image
And get who in.... ? If there was a multi-billionaire interested in buying Leeds he'd already be here. If there had been one interested when Bates was in charge, he would have snapped their hands off. If there was one interested in the last 6 months, we'd know about it. There isn't as it stands. I know we've had years of Bates, but ffs lets give GFH a chance. They're not Bates, they're not connected to Bates as much as there are conspiracy theories abound. They've already started to steady the ship and clear up all the cr@p left by Bates. Bearing in mind there's no knight in shining billion dollar armour on the horizon, hows about getting behind GFH, BM and the team that we put out on 3rd August?
....how's about getting behnind the team...? Happily RCDM. I just wish we knew what sort of team we'll have to cheer on. Yesterday's meeting will point the way ahead. But I wish something would appear shortly to let us all know how it went, rather than have the conspiracy theorists tell us.
****ing hell the transfer window isn't even open yet. Will you lot pack it in, making assumptions based on absolutely **** all. If they can afford to put in several million like they already have I'm sure they can afford a few quid more. Jesus Christ this is getting boring.
Reading fan in peace. My biggest criticism of McDermot at Reading was his, apparent, lack of influence with the board. He never came across as someone who would go into the boardroom and bang the table to get what he needed. But on the plus side, he's great at doing a good job with very little. And his experience as chief scout paid dividends with his purchases from the lower leagues. He really can spot a talent.
I always do Steve I'd rather have GFH than Bates, whether they've got money or not, and as it stands we don't know what's going to happen in the transfer window seeing as it hasn't even opened yet
Too true as you don't need an 'off blue day' mate, do you? Watch this space mate - might be a cliche but very true for lots of clubs this time of the year.
