Reina staying at Liverpool !.

Just read Pepe reina will stop at Liverpool next season, so Mig will stay with us hopefully, unless arsenal come in I suppose.

 

we need to get him tied into a new deal with a buy out clause of about 12-15 mill

for me we should break the bank to keep him. he is not even near his prime yet and is already one of if not the best keeper in the league. you only have to see some of the game saving saves he made last season. if i had to point to one player who kept us up it was mig, if he go's he can go with his head held high but i think it would be a massive staement of intent if we tied him into a new deal

 

Totally agree with all of this but if he does go we should hold the buyers to ransom like others have done with us in the past.

Makes no odds bill, like sid says, a move to the bindippers will not help his international chances, the only move that could do that would be to the arse, he's in the limelight here already

 

i really think this is the best place for him. he is loved by the fans and is pretty much gaurenteed to play every match he's fit in the biggest league in the world. theres not many players i would be really diappointed to see go but he is certainly one. unless hes going for champions league football and a hefty wedge in our bank account he should stay

 

imagine what he'll be like when PDC and co sort us out?

you have to think that hes is still quite young for a keeper and has another 10-15 years ahead of him. keepers come into the prime from around 28 so theres still years of football in him. i would love to see him stay for his whole career but its not likely. i think he should give di canio a chance and see what he does this season as it isnt outside the realms of possibility that we could finish above the bin dippers. there not the force they once were and seem to be on a downward spiral. they can no longer attract the top talent and will look worse if that cheating rat suarez leaves

 

These ^ bang on the money, thats what his agent should be telling him, but we know he's far from daft, we should offer him a decent contract or its our loss

Thought we had alteady turned down 9m. Seems to have died down a little bit. If he's going needs to be now and not the last week in August.

 

Well those stats seem to say Mig is much better at crosses than people normally give him credit for

 

Min £15m buy out as he will only get better in 12 months imo. I'd have sell on clauses as well as in another 3 or 4 years this lad could be worth double that with the dearth of young top class keepers around Europe at the moment.
