Some research has been done to see which rival PL clubs us reds fans like and hate the most. As you would expect United are most hated, followed by Chelsea (Everton are surprisingly high...). Swansea are our most liked rivals, followed by Cardiff. A nod to the Welsh reds I guess. Here is a graph. please log in to view this image This table doesnt quite match my views. For me United, Newcastle and Spurs would be lowest, with Fulham highest. I'm not so keen on Cardiff and like Laudrup more than I like Swansea. Stoke are just tedious, but Mark Hughes is even more tedious. Does any of this surprise you?
How does that graph even work? Over half of them are 50%+ popular? I'm going to have to call bullshit on this graph, that means the whole thread is also a load of ****.
Everton more popular than Stoke?? I'll second your call of bullshit For me it's the blues then the scum then....meh...don't give a **** about the rest (although I always had a soft spot for Southampton and never really knew why).
I'm guessing that it is as simple as asking each person whether they like a club and they can only answer yes or no. Only thing is, how have Man Utd got 28% (ish) to say they like them...
I have to also agree that the graph could have been drawn better. My guess is they did a vote like this one on favourite away grounds. http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/reds-fans-can-t-wait-for-old-trafford You just pick your favourite. So I'd pick United as the rival team I like the least and Fulham as the most.
I thought you were just going to delete the treble post comment too Jk I don't think it could work like that as surely the scum and the blues still wouldn't get a single vote (unless the poll was done in Singapore or somewhere else where they haven't really got a clue)
Well the club site can be viewed by any one and you dont need an account to vote. John Terry and Gary Neville could have voted for all we know. When I was a child my best friend used to offend me by claiming United were his second team. Some children just dont understand how these rivalries work. they probably voted to.
Other than United? Stoke...hate everything about them. Everton I don't hate. Would obviously love for it to be back between us to fighting for the league but probably not in my lifetime. And I've always had an irrational hatred of Aston Villa: I really can't tell you why, I just do.
That would be a abused of powers... They wouldn't get zero as there are some people out there that like both. It would be much much lower than it is though.
I don't hate any team, not even Man Utd or Germany. Life's too short for hate. Strongly dislike yes, but not hate
I strongly disliked United but for some strange reason it has lessened recently as if somehow they've lost something that I really disliked about them
You're right: Hate is a misused word.. Along with the words "footballing genius" like Messi investigates dark matter everytime he kicks a ball....
the graph makes little sense as 0-40% scale and then everyon is on or about 30% suggest 19 x 30% is way too high. there has to be a ranking behind it?
