    I think the rumour originated from United For Newcastle, who have came out today trying to pass the blame onto their source.

    Outside of a match day I have been in and it has been deader than the proverbial, its just a barn of a place with no customers and no atmosphere, I would think the revamp is a reaction to the new opening across the road of the Canadian group with the hotel and shark club sports bar. Personally I don't care what its called as I wont use it, there are much better places to go in Newcastle and drink, decisions like this are purely commercial as most bars of this type run their course over 3/5 years and for all those getting their knickers in a twist how many of you actually drink in there regularly, that is more than once in a blue moon.

    Who was it who once said "Mike Ashley knows the price of everything but the value of nothing"?

    I believe he knows the value of Geordie pride and all of it's treasures because he ain't stupid, he just doesn't give a rat's arse. He's from London, local pride and London is kind of like world peace and George W. Bush. Mike Ashley will never fit in at Newcastle he is too arrogant and stubborn and the sooner he's finished here the better.

    About time, something was done with the place.
    If you've been in it on non-match days in recent years, its the pits.

    Anyway is the Number 'NINE' not the most revered shirt in the Clubs history, worn not just by Shearer, but other legends such as Gallagher, Milburn, Macdonald etc.

    What we need is a new No.9 in their mould that we can be proud of, and if making better use of SJP helps somewhere along the way, so be it.
