His low centre of gravity puts him in the top bracket of player. Robben was extremely injury prone (as good as he was). I'd have Hazard every time over 04/05 Robben as would most Chelsea fans.
this is mine: Cech (12/13) < Cech (04/05) Azpilicueta > Ferreira Ivanovic < Carvalho Luiz < Terry Cole > Bridge Mikel < Makalele Ramires > Tiago Oscar > Duff Hazard = Robben Mata < Lampard Torres/Ba/Cavani < Drogba Cavani is good, but Drogba was an absolute beast and legend for you guys. How you could put a guy unproven in the prem as better than him is beyond me. So, as you were talking about final 3rd, i would say 04/05 was definitely better than next year. Saying that, if you do get Cavani then you may well have the best final 3rd in the prem.
Drogba got his act together when Sheva was signed but he was pretty poor/inconsistent (by his standards) until the 06/07 season.
Agreed, but Serie A is by far the hardest league to score goals in, but as you say, he's unproven at this level
What's Hazard even done? He's been good but he was hardly a stand out player in his only season in the PL whereas Robben was. It'd be like a Spurs fan saying Lloris is ther best 'keeper we've ever had.
He's been 2nd only to Mata. Made a huge impact in big games. I think he's had as much of an impact. As I said, Robben was blighted by injuries that season, started with Blackburn away Carragher even said Hazard was the best player he'd faced all of last season. That's high praise from somebody that's been in the game for as long as he has.
Can't see Cavani joining Chelsea,by all accounts he is almost a Real Madrid player.although then again,so is Bale, and Paulinho, depending on which paper you read
If they're eager to move on Higuain, that means they have a replacement lined up - Cavani is the most likely, although Dortmund might have their hand forced if Lewandowski is willing to sit out his contract to move to Bayern.
Suddenly Carragher's opinion is worth something when he's agreeing with you? Come on, if he'd said he though Hazard was overrated you would be describing it as ravings of a bitter player at the end of his career.
Not at all. I've always liked Carragher and respected his view (unlike Neville before he joined Sky).
I've always thought that if I could understand a word he says, Carragher would be talking a lot of sense.
Totally agree with that Dreading listening to him squeak away on the tellybox. My flatmate last year was from Wirral and had a voice like Louis Armstrong, and that was still pretty bad.
