This gets more complicated as the HDM say we are close to Austin too. Maybe the press having no clue is not the player involved, just the fact the deal is done with someone on the radar but now yet revealed
I'm afraid I think Hutch's mate is a bit wide of the mark, everything points to us forgetting Schmeichel and signing McGregor instead, Assem even confirmed it yesterday. The Fail certainly seem to think the deals for Austin and Davies are just about done now, it's the other striker that's less certain(and we still don't know who the defensive midfield target will be).
While looking at PSV's page, stumbled across Georginio Wijnaldum; didn't realise his record! As a winger that's really impressive, 34 in 88 is not to be sniffed at. He'll never join us, but I'm really impressed with his development. Checked out the Mboyo lads profile, also got a good record. Had a shady past but looks like a solid player. Think he'll be a test of Bruce's man management skills judging by the penalty taking incident, but with a goalscoring record of 36 in 77, he's definitely worth a go if the price is right. Could be the new Benteke.
On the backup goalkeeper front, both Frank Fielding and Adam Legzdins have been transfer listed by Derby. Either would be great as a #2.
linked with Carlton Cole again today in the papers, can't see it myself, but he would certainly not be a bad signing
Could be a good pairing, let's wait and see what happens, but if most of these come to fruition it is starting to look like a squad that can hold is own in the EPL.

He looks like Stifler with a beard. He's a legend, I'd sign him up straight away if we didn't have Meyler. What's Viktor Noring up to these days? Did he get much of a look in at Celtic?
Haven't heard anything of Noring in Swedish media, so it seems like he hasn't played (+quick googling) If we're looking on the goalkeeping market I would definitely go for Pär Hansson, although he might cost a bit. Will most def be taking Isakssons spot in the goal for the upcoming years and he's still in Sweden (which makes him less expensive)
