Morning Troops, FFS, I still cannot use the return button. Could somebody explain to me what button one of my work colleagues would have pressed on my computer to make this happen.... Anyway, back to business.

McDermott has laid down the gauntlet. He has gone public, and let it be known that he has his transfer targets in place, and is just awaiting the go ahead from GFH. By going public, he knows he is keeping the pressure on THE Leeds owners. If they do not come up with the money, it will effect their standing and perception. Why should the fans be giving McDermott a hard time when it is not his fault....

McDermott has gone as far as saying these players want to sign for Leeds. One player that will not be signing for us is Eric Lichaj. The USA international (only 24) must be one of the bargains of the season. Unfortunately it looks like Forest have got him...

Goerge Dawes has identified 7 players he wants. He's either spoken to the players direct or through their agents, and all 7 players want to come >>>> So GFH need to piss or get off the pot, and now the manager has gone public, we'll know how much ambition the owners have. If the manager isn't backed he may also fook off elsewhere as his CV will be in danger of being ruined.

Wish Harvey would fook off too, why is he still around? I'm betting we have no money and need to offload more players before any cash goes for new players. Please GFH make me wrong <grr>

Morning all. No problem with Harvey in my book. Seems he has a bad reputation on here and elsewhere, but BMD seems to like him and think he's doing a decent job. Apart from Pugh & one or two others, not sure we now have too many players we're actually trying to let go given that there was a bit of a clear out at the end of last season.

On incomers, I really hope we learn soon either that we tried to get someone and they elected to go to a PL club or somewhere else paying silly money, or that they're on their way. At least it would show that GFH are puting their money where their mouth is and backing BMD, whilst at the same time, not being prepared to pay silly money for a player.

Morning all. Isn't it wonderful to see how far we've moved forward over the past twelve months eh? I'll bet some of the fans who bought the wonderfully reduced season tickets are sweating a little now. Isn't it just typical of us though, if there had been ten prospective buyers from bates and one bunch of gobshites, we'd get the gobshites and did. Still, it's the Leeds way seemingly and I'm used to it after this length of time.

I think we all are on tenterhooks about how last night went. Even as one of the wait and see brigade I'm fearing the worst whilst hoping for the best. Reality may lie somewhere between the two extremes.

Just saying it as it stands. I'll be more excited than anyone if we turn the corner with GFH, but wont happen with minus investment in transfer windows. I tend to see things like the Smith signing as a cheap option that no one else wants, of course I could and hopefully will be 110% wrong

If we can't afford to take a 200,000 gamble on a good prospect that the posh player is, then who can we afford. :emoticon-0106-cryin

At least we're not Newcastle ..... what the fook is going on up there, is Ashley trying to get rid of the club again? Gobshyte Kinnear undermines the manager, now Graham Carr is ready to walk because lambias resigned and he has no regard for Kinnear. Pardew keeping his powder dry yet, but what can he do? Kinnear goes on record in the media telling everyone he's now in charge at Newcastle, 3 days later the club confirm it and the MD resigns with immediate effect ..... Ken Bates and Mike Ashley, both a bunch of coonts

Morning Doc, I think ashley is trying to get pardew to leave and with him sitting on a 6 yr contract will have to pay him off if he sacks him. Don't know what happens if pardew resigns.

    Who cares about the Barcodes.

Shaks, still not sure about this £200k lark. If true, I'd find it seriously worrying (to the point of bring back Lork Ken of Monaco). I can only think that something somewhere has got lost in the rumour mill.

Morning Boggers, I meant to add, if it was true. I'm a realist myself and I know we aren't going to get any big named signings, but why oh why can this club not attract some wealthy owner.

    Morning

I think it's a good sign that BM says all seven targets have agreed to sign for Leeds anyway. How many times have we been rejected (or at least been told the player rejected us for better wages).

Elland. Try holding down the SHIFT key when you press enter, or blow some pressurised air under the enter key. Failing that system restore to a point when it was working <ok>

Irish I think your right mate, but why give him and carr an 8-year contract when everyone knows that things can change with a few results in football. Most clubs now use rolling year contracts so that they can get rid without huge costs - they actually pay more in wages than a long contract. Carr getting 8-years was a great deal for the club and carr because he knows his stuff and gets great players on the cheap. Pardew 8-years was a sick joke, and now it looks like he wants shut of him, so he may as well bring Wise back as well :cheesy:

Points well made Shaks. I think some company or other are going to end up paying GFH a fortune if/when they sell. This could be the season when we rightfully take our place back at the top table. We on here can then debate long and hard about Papa Smurf's influence in steadying the ship, as we look forward to the halcyen days of ManUre & others at home on a cold Tuesday night in December as we make our way slowly up the PL with BMD in charge and back to the even more promised land of European Footy.... with some seriously rich arab or Chinese in charge.

Bollox, its a damp Thursday. I'm about to change jobs. And I am allowed my dreams!!!! In my world they all true...........eventually!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pardew has an 8 year contract meaning his wages will be cheaper.

He has a 1 year pay off if he's sacked.

Mike Ashley isn't as stupid as you think but the media have cleverly put across this 8 year thing.

anyone got a link to BMacs quotes about the players
