speaking of wasteful, if Soldado could time his runs onto balls into the box he could have scored another 3 or 4 last night.

I would expect to see Villa or Torres up front next time. Soldado was a one-off I think.

    Nigeria 6-1

I really do fear for Tahiti against Spain and Uruguay.

That's really disrespectful to Tahiti, he should know better. They earned the right to play at the competition, it's probably the greatest moment in their football history, not to mention the players lives, so who is anyone to tell them they can't play because they're ranked 135th in the World and obviously aren't on the same level as their opponents.

Really pissed me off that did.

Nigeria were shocking last night. If I were Tahitian I'd be thrilled by their performance, which after a 6-1 loss says it all!

One the one hand I thought Tahiti's performance maybe warranted a second goal, but on the other I wouldn't have thought it unfair if Nigeria had won 10-0.

    Aye, cracking volley.

Still isn't in the top 10 attackers though...

Great chip by Dani Alves there. One way traffic so far.

you're right, that's genuinely a chance you'd expect RVP to put away all day long.

brazil a bit shabby at the back, they'll win but I reckon mexico will score.

    100% agreed.

Mexico had a couple of good chances then as well.

    HT 1-0

Brazil were great for the first 10 minutes. Since then, Mexico have slowly become the better side.

Brazil have a goal disallowed. And rightly so imo.

    Good punditry from Efan Ekoku.

Thought he was a quota filler at first, but speaks eloquently and knowledgably with no apparent grammatical faux pas or syntactical **** ups (unlike Shearer, Savage and many others).

Ex Hull University Mark Chapman is easily better than that NI runt Colin Murray.

Nevin too is articulate and bright.

Crowd mentally enthusiastic- we could do with some of that in this country.

Hope to see Ekoku often on MOTD rather than Shearer, Hansen et al...

Shearer offers little insight if any.

    Hansen is the Daddy.
