    Is anyone else pissed off at the way Sky fawn over anything Manchester Utd?

    Covering LIVE a Man U bloody TESTIMONIAL and now trying to make out that Scholes' decision was important.

    This man was NOT a great footballer - he was a thug who got away with murder because he played for bloody Manchester United!

    he was good but over-rated because he played for united. Also you're right, he was a nasty little thug that got let off for horrible challenges time and time again

    Zidane and Xavi. Great player, and bearing in mind its the end of the season and theres bugger all else going on what else have Sky Sports News got to talk about all day?

    Plus Shearers testimonial was on TV too so we can't really moan about that.

    Scholes is a class player, there is a reason so many foreign players rate him. His tackling is ****e; but calling the man a thug is a joke.

    Plus the testimonial was shown live because of the amount of legends that played.

    Says it all really.

    The seasons over. Nothing else to show.

    He was a dire tackler though. Always bothered me how his tackles were accepted. Then again, so are all the media darlings. So... Cant just blame him.

    Was a talented player. Dont survive at Man Utd for 16 years if youre not.

    Spot on, have some rep.

    He was literally a giant of the game, the complete midfield player. His vision, passing, shooting....just everything about the way he played was brilliant. He is up there with the best. I remember when we played them up here when Bobby was in charge, in the lead up to the game Dyer and Jenas were both quoted as saying they were after his England shirt. He scored a hat-trick and crushed our title hopes, best player on the pitch by a mile that day. The 'he cannot tackle' thing is a myth as well, he knew fine well how to tackle, he just chose to hack people down instead :D To say he got away with it coz he played for Man Ure is bollocks too, he's one of the most booked players in the history of the PL and has been sent off a number of times!

    Anyone who calls Scholes the 'complete midfielder' needs their brain testing!

    He could be called a wonderful playmaker maybe.

    But complete midfielders have to tackle man! Was a brilliant player 2 years ago, now he is ****e(hence Carrick being ahead of him), but never, ever been complete in midfield.
