Racing games are poo anyway. EA have entered into a partnership with microsoft to bring some more stuff to the xbox over the ps4, halo is far superior to other fps imo and elder scrolls is just epic.
Have fun you lucky bugger. Don't listen to the sad acts on here whine about students for the next 3 years.
There's **** all wrong with PSN, only problem I ever had with it was when it got hacked which will never happen again so it's not worth considering for the next consoles. In fact I've only good experience from Sony, been given loads of freebies such as bluray movies, free game DLC etc. on top of 2 free replacement machines outside of warranty, one of which was a free upgrade to the slimline for being unfortunate enough to have two of the original 60gb fault on me. Microsoft would never have done that, they'd never have even replaced the first 3 months out of warranty.
Yeah, I've got skyrim and had oblivion for my 360. I'm on about exclusivity, which microsoft look to have edged.
Not if you know what you're doing it doesn't. EDIT: Actually, just done the maths and to get the right parts and using my current monitor and peripherals, I can do it for £590. Apologies.
I'm currently a 360 user, but I only got into it by accident when someone else bought me one when they first came out. Until then I was always a big PS fan. I've hardly ever played a PS3 so I have no real idea if they're better/worse than 360 but judging by some of the crap I'm hearing about XBOne I might end up going back to PS. Since everyone is submitting 'best ever' consoles, I have to say I'm a massive fan of PS1 and 2. I still play both of them now. The range of games was amazing compared to now. Edit: The 'crap' I'm referring to of course is all the spying, restrictions and not letting you buy used games.
Fifa is impossible to play online because it's too slow (Maybe that's KC's fault) but i've not had problems with COD really apart from games cutting out more frequently than Xbox and yeah i have the Slimline one too and the best thing about PS3 is i've never had a problem with it, i've went through three 360's because of the red ring
PSN is nowhere near as good as XBL. If you think it is, you're in denial. Sony are only just bringing XBL features to the PS4, Microsoft have had them as standard for years! Also, to receive updates for games, you have to be subscribed to PS+, which is a ****ty thing for Sony to do.
The ARMA series is by far the best FPS ever to exist, it's only on PC though. Battlefield series takes 2nd by some distance, couldn't pick a third, all the rest are the same, tacky arcade style physics. Halo's a nice story and good fun to play through but as far as the game mechanics are concerned its like the shooting version of ridge racer to the racing genre. All my opinion though, I like games to be as realistic and difficult to play as possible, I like a challenge. Not fond of games where you can take 5 million hits before you can even notice your health bar has dropped a bit.
The PS1 and 2 were the best concoles ever. But I hate psn and the god awful ps3 controllers and how the updates take 10 million years compared to my 360 so will be sticking by xbox methinks
I'm definitely getting the PS4 first. Better looking exclusive titles, more power than the Xbox, no used games restrictions, cheaper console and an arguable better value for money online service. I have over 40 free games from PS+ on my PS3, they're not even cheap rubbish games, they put their AAA titles on there after a year or so. The Xbox's TV stuff probably won't even work well over here, everything is geared towards the US market for them. I don't want motion controls so paying extra for the kinect doesn't appeal to me at all.
It's alright, I know it costs a little bit more to build a PC and frankly, I wouldn't trust my self to make one!
