Good start for Arsenal. On paper Spurs (H) is the only remotely challenging fixture (from the first few) and it will force Wenger to do his transfer dealings early.
We always struggle against Fulham in recent years. They seem to always have one player who turns up and plays like Messi..
Looks like we have decent opening and closing fixtures to the season. Hopefully we can get a good start and still be in the running come the last 6-7 games. A couple of tough patches with Everton, City, Chelsea in a row in December and then Tottenham, Chelsea, City and Everton in a row in march/april. Let's hope we are hitting good form at this point!
Same. It's very rare to get 6 points off Fulham these days, don't think either of us did nor Spurs. i'm pleased with our run in, only one away game after a CL tie and all the top 6 away done by Feb 1st. 4 games in a row in London over the busy Christmas Period.
there is a certain irony about a gooner commenting on our annual bottle job ... true but ironic non the less
I'm not. It seem to me that Spurs fans don't understand humour very well, probably because there hasn't been much to laugh about for them lately. Let me try and help you. If I say that all Spurs fans are the products of their mothers shagging a goat, then that isn't funny. This is because it is neither true, nor does it really draw any comparison to real life, as long as you don't think that all Spurs fans are goat-like. If I say Gareth Bale is the product of his mother being shagged in 10 seconds, by a very fast monkey, then it has a chance of being funny, because although it isn't true, it does have something to do with reality. In the above example, Arsenal haven't bottled the last two years, in fact they have been complemented far and wide on their ability to close out the season. There is no joke saying the opposite, because there is no parallel to reality. It is just an insult that isn't true, doesn't matter how many emoticons you put round it.
Was more of a general comment about what I've seen on the board recently, hence why I didn't quote you.
But certain standards do have to be maintained, otherwise we descend to the US level where they just insult each other and call it humour.
