James Ward Prowse to be loaned out to Bournemouth ?!?!? According to the bible also know as .....The Echo..

I cant believe this to be true, unless we are definately looking to bring in another midfielder in which JWP would benefit from having a full season in the championship playing week in week out.

Quality player, in desperate need of game time and beef himself up a bit. Can see this.

seriously, we've got to stop with these really good player links. It's not fair. I am trying so hard not to think about it, not tell anyone and not to run round the house thinking "****, we really mean business". I'm a Saints fan which means last minute goals conceded; relegation scrapes and selling all our best young players

Can we keep to not particularly exciting rumors please?

So, so wrong if we do that. It goes against what we have said we stand for. He has shown he can perform at this level. I only hope that Mr Cortese is not going to "chase the dime" to soon and go back on what we have targeted; larger % of home grown players coming through into the first team.

blimey, I've been come CBK.

I agree it will go against what we said, but realistically, will he improve whilst sat in the stands every week?

If he does go out on loan, I hope it doesn't mean we are finished with him. I think he will get better and he has a great attitude. I see him as a leader when he gets older.

I would imagine that we still have big plans for JWP. He did however make some noise about wanting consistent playing time, and even if we were to add nothing in midfield, the Cork/Schneiderlin tandem will necessarily mean that he is unlikely to start straightaway; if he feels that his development would be enhanced by 20-30 starts, the Championship is probably the level at which he'll find that.

He will be back. He has already contributed in many PL games so we know he can cut it, just needs to develop by playing regularly. Not like Martin going on loan where we didn't know if he could contribute to the NPC let alone PL. I think its a good thing get him starting for half a season then bring him back.

My point is that he shouldn't be sat in the stands every week. He should be on the bench at least. I saw enough in him to know that he can play well at this level. If anyone is unsure, they should ask Sir Alex and his multi-million pound midfield.

As for beefing him up, that's an English disease thing (don't get me started) ... does Messi need beefing up?
