Is this going to be a thread asking whether we should buy him after he's been released by a league 1 side after his 4th relegation? Then no i don't want him here.
Always remember his goal at Chelsea to put us ahead in our first away game in the Prem. Steward tried to kick me out of the ground because I was celebrating among the Chelsea supporters. Was a great little player then. Too bad injuries and age have caught up with him.
it was because the rest of the team was crap and people needed an 'hero' he was the least awful player we had then !
He had more quality than people seem to be giving him credit for now. He took all the set pieces and that byline cross at Wolves to set up Geovanni to score (which he could have done with his eyes closed thanks to the beauty of the cross) was wonderful. We have indeed moved on, but I don't think he's a ***an/McLean kind of player at all.
That's a massive disrespect to compare him to ***an, hunt actually have very good ball skills, the only thing ***an was any good at was running and mouthing off.
I quite liked him whilst he was here, a good player for us and he was way better than most other people that we had at the time. I'm not saying we shoulf sign him as championship is probably his level now, it was just nice to see hoe much an ex tiger enjoyed his time here through a tough season. Makes a change from beiong slated all the time
Couldn't wait to get away from us as soon as he found out Wolves were interested. He might have got injured after the January he very publicly "kept quiet" about the potential for a move only a few months after we signed him ( he let his agent do the talking for him ) but I'm certain enough he was fit for the end of the season show-down, just never got picked for whatever reason - I wonder what his attitude was like at that point? He was a good player, but another P.L. mercenary who never gave us value for money I.M.H.O. (apart from against Everton at Home, that is.) Played well against us at Molineux at the end of last season - but being a key player and high earner in a side relegated from the Championship, begging for a move back to the big time tells it's own story. Besides, I though Wolves was his "dream move".
***an at least had commitment. For Hunt's ability he should never have been simply a by-line in Hull City's history. Besides - even if you believe in coincidence - which I don't in relation to football over 38/46 games - he's a bit of a Jonah, isn't he?
