Lets hope so but Labour need someone of Harold Wilson's calibre and intelligence to do it. Not sure if Milliband is made of the same substance though!

It's so controversial because of Hillsbrough, but that had very little to do with the terraces themselves. The issue has become an emotive one rather than looking at the practicalities of it. Politicians are too scared of negative opinion to do their own jobs properly at times - and you're right, it will take somebody with really strong convictions to push this through.

I'm an optimist though and I think the time will come where we'll see safe standing terraces at Premier league grounds again <ok>

Even if we do invest in the Summer, do people really think we will win anything next season? I mean there is always a chance with a domestic cup, even if we buy nobody, but with acquisitions of Higuain, Fellaini and even Rooney, do people still think Wenger has what it takes?

It's just that if we sign those 3 players, man for man I can look back at squads in 10/11 and 07/08 and can't really say we will be as good as those squads, never mind an improvement on them. Personally I think Wenger has lost his edge and his will to win that he had 10 years ago. Fortunately for us I believe Mourinho has lost his aura, too, whilst Pellegrini and Moyes have never won anything of note.
