yep got my iPad in work ready to stream it. Don't hold up much hope for today's game if I'm honest. With injuries it will be difficult
I'm watching. Other than Tipuric don't think anyone has impressed so far. Good to see that Shane is fitting in well. Still got speed to burn in his feet.
Apart from tipuric, the others looked like non league players. Why oh why did gatland only take two 10's.
Not to worry, Auz thrown nothing but gash at us in the terms of competition, until now. First time we have decent opposition we throw it back. In reality, they've learned nothing today. Despite this, Australian sporting press will be cock-a-hoop with this win, beating the enemy, and their back slapping reports will hopefully feed the collective, yet massive, chips Aussies have on their broad sporting shoulders. It is better for us this way as an over confident Aussie is only half the threat of one desperate and fighting for a common cause. When Assusies, in a sporting context, are desperate they are at their most dangerouse and deadly. B&I Lions to win series 2-1; 3-0 if the Aussie ego implodes.
That was the worst performance i have ever seen from a touring lions side and it was also the worst set of backs ever to wear a Lions shirt. Wade - England _ absolutely shocking winger and is never talented enough to be a lions player. Barrit - England - another who is never fit to wear the Lions shirt. I think he touched the ball twice. Twelvetrees - England, another who is totally out of his depth. Hogg - Scotland - whilst he is a tidy full back, has to be the worst lion to ever wear the no. 10 shirt. I am not disputing his full back talent. Why the **** arent ther 3 no 10's on tour. Youngs - England - Poor performance, poor distribution. How the game speeded up when Murray came on. Willimas - Wales. Passed it. Carney Ireland - The only back who looked like he belonged on the tour. The selectors should be ashamed of themselves putting out a back line as poor as that. They would not even be classed as a good club back line yet alone a lions one. Added to the fact that the forwards were poor as well it is no wonder they lost, just amazed they didnt lose by more. Luckily there were a few Lions quality players able to come on.
If he played his subs at half time I think we'd have won. Have to say quality of both teams was low and they could and should have drafted in better players than the ****e they have brought in
Bringing players in and just for one game suggests to me it's a game the management just wanted to get out of the way before the tests. It has no bearing on the series because apart from Tipuric how many of those are likely to be involved
Tipuric won't be involved. I'd be surprised if Gatland picks him on the bench. Gatland is in love with Warburton please log in to view this image
Shane Williams scarcely got a touch - everything seemed to be going to Wade's wing as though the Lions didn't trust him with the ball. He got one chance, put on the burners but was pulled for a foot in touch. Didn't see any replays to confirm one way or the other but the call looked iffy to me on one viewing. As for the rest of it, definitely a sub-standard Lions team but they could still have won it had Hogg not missed two fairly routine penalty kicks.
And he still looked like the only player in the backline with the ability to score a try. Those English lads pulled in were piss poor.
I agree ivor. For me Tips should be nailed down the be the Test 7, but I think Gatland will go with O'Brien, Lydiate or Croft before Tips in the team/bench(that's without the selection of Heaslip and Falatau), which is a travesty. He couldn't do much today because the front 5 were non existent.
I think the back three will be Croft, Warbs and Heaslip. Have to say, I've always liked Croft. Good in the line out and very mobile. Out of those three it's Warbs who I'd say should be under the most pressure (from Tips) but he'll be first on the team sheet.
