"I'm trying to stay calm as my national team has a really important match coming.

"But of course, if there will be an offer which will be good for Tottenham and for me also, then a transfer is of course possible."
    Luka Modric
    Quotes of the week
"So I will tell you the same as all ways - my club status is the same as it was before.

"But of course, if there will be an offer which will be good for Tottenham and for me also, then a transfer is of course possible.

"That doesn't mean that I'm bothered with leaving Tottenham - I'm not thinking about that every hour and every minute.

"I'm happy at White Hart Lane - my status is great, the fans like me and I do have everything I need.

"But then again - when you experience playing in Champions League, you want to keep playing in this tournament."

To me he is too seduced to CL football but will we offer him a deal or try to sign him? probably not

I went to watch City v Spurs a few weeks ago, and Modric was ****ing awesome once he was moved into the middle.

Involved in absolutely everything that spurs did and put together.

He'd do well at Utd and I'd want him at Chelsea, end of.

I agree that he is one of their better players (not a hard thing to achieve) but I don't think he is quite top 4 standard either. Maybe he will improve at United when he gets to play with decent players week in, week out?

We do not need another carrick ****stain. He i above average, granted, in fact he would p[robably suit arsenal, but not united, we need a decent player, for 20-30 million you can buy much better

    Now, now - play nice.

He wouldn't even get to warm a subs bench at the Emirates. Mind you, he is ugly enough to replace Nasri in the looks department!

    Now now, play nice kids.

Hopefully SAF will realise that just cos Spurs is our feeder club he doesn't have to make all our new signings from them... <ok>

Swarbs I am not too sure on Luka but who out there is needed? Granted there is a lot of players who could improve our midfield but maybe we need to set our bar a bit higher on signings this summer. The only real player which comes to mind is De Rossi but his age may be a big issue?

Do you have any good ideas?

I've never been much impressed with Modric, i think he'd be a poor signing.

The main aim of Manchester United is to always be the best club in England, i don't think Modric is the right man with that in mind. I also hope we don't sign Young, he's just not that good. It amazes me to see fans clamouring for Modric and Young. Offer Arsenal 100 million for Fabregas and Wiltshire :).

I would prefer Wesley Sneijder over Luka Modric any day of the week, but Modric is proven in the premiership and will make our midfield more dynamic.

Comas Modric is not as bad as you are making out. However, he is not as good as others make out and certainly is not worth 25m more like 15-20m

As I said, we should go after Wesley Sneijder.

No we should not, too similar to Rooneys role in my opinion and needs to play in 5 man midfield and play off the striker.

I would go for Bastien S but Bayern players are almost impossible to get when they want them

How is Modric ****e? I would say he is the best CM in the prem right now. Some of you obviously haven't seen him enough or don't know much about football.

Sniejder is a dynamic attacking midfielder, Rooney is a striker....both could play in the same side effectively.

True, but it wouldn't make your midfield more creative and it would force you to play 4231 almost all of the time to fit your 2 star players in to the team.
