Fair enough, of course you're welcome to disagree. The assumption that I'm alone in thinking he's better than the likes of Ribery and Robben seems a tad odd though, considering he came 10th in the last Ballon D'or nominations (therefore voted as one of the worlds 10 best footballers) largely as a 20 year-old playing outside of Europe, as well as having a record of 21 goals in 35 games in an international career that began when he'd just turned 18.
He was so garbage that he only mustered a 1 in 2 goal scoring record and played **** passes like this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23Q3zRvFDNM
Nigeria 3-0 I was about to post on how Tahiti are giving it a go attacking wise. Then their keeper has a shocker.
He has been below the standards that he has set over the past few seasons, ask Fergie he'll tell you. Has he really been top 10 World Class this season?? I doubt it, a good scoring record and the odd world class pass doesn't mean he should be in the top 10. This is my opinion like, just saying. RVP deserves to be in it.
Entertaining game overall and you don`t see many like this these days. No point in really grading Tahiti although I have been impressed with their attitude. You see many sides, like San Marino for example, who just defend deep with ten men in games like this. Tahiti remind me of a novelty World Cup side of circa 30 odd years ago. Nigeria look really ****.
Fair this ^^ Tahiti aren't total no-hopers and are nowhere as bad as say the Zaire side in the World Cup in 1974 which was a pub side with players who all wanted to be strikers. If Nigeria want to they can bury them, but 3-0 at H/T is no shame for them. They've even threatened at times. You have to fear for them against even a second string Uruguay or Spain though.
I can't really 'just ask Fergie' but I do agree, he has not been as good this season as many previous but he still gets a lot of unfair criticism, I'd still say he was in the top 10 but I'd agree RVP is better.
Nigeria for me have looked clumsy, wasteful and unintelligent. Two of their goals have been fortunate and this is Nigeria’s best route to the Semi-Finals: steamroller these and then draw against Uruguay. It’s possible Tahiti won’t play this open again so Nigeria need a massive score.
