Pearce and Hodgson have to be the dourest characters we could have, I agree Harry's ability to enthuse and encourage, probably would benefit U21's more than the seniors.

He'd loan out the entire squad and replace them with players in their 30s who have one good season in them.

    Again...

It would probably suit Redknapp a lot more than the QPR job at the moment and it might give him an in for the full team.
If he could negotiate a decent wage and up his media commitments, then I think he might go for it.
Not sure what Joe Jordan would do, though! <laugh>

I know none of our players are left in it but Isco's just scored a beauty to send Spain into the final.

Apparently both Alex Pritchard and Harry Kane had a 45 minute run out for England under 20's yesterday in a game against Uruguay.

The tournament kicks off later his week and our ex-player Peter Taylor, is assisted by two of our coaches Chris Ramsay and Ugo Ehiog.

Ehiogu? As in the ex-Villa defender? I had no idea he worked at Spurs. He was a decent player from what i remember of him

That's him. He coaches our under 16 side. He has been with us about 2 years now.

He was a very, very good centre-half. Paired up well with Southgate but didn't get picked for England anywhere near as much.

Always thought we should've signed him when Judas buggered off, he'd have made a good partner for the young Ledders and been better than the other options at the time (Chris Perry, Dean Richards, Goran Bunjevcevic, Anthony Gardner)

    Spain won. Massive Surprise

Missed the first half because I thought it was a 7.30 kick off but there were some good players in that tournament, it's a pity the likes of Isco, Thiago, Illaremendi, Veratti and Insigni are already out of our reach already.

Oh well, on to the under 20s World Cup...

Anyone catch Japan - Italy last night? One of the best football matches I've seen.

Yeah, it was a superb game. Japan were really unlucky and probably deserved to win it, for me.
Honda on the cheap, please. <ok> (Not a ****ing car, before anyone says it. <grr> )

If we signed him, that would guarantee a season of me yelling "It's pronounced 'Kai-skay'" at MOTD every week...

Is Honda actually available? Some say he was six months left, the likes of Savage and Hartson were saying he's available now. Which is it?

    EDIT: I'm guessing the former!
