Personally, based on the first half of the season I'd love him, based on the second half I'd want to stay well clear.

 

8m is a hell of a lot specially as we only have 30m to spend.....

Just so you guys have the heads up, it looks likely that Jeremaine Lens is heading to Ukraine, Dynamo Kiev are heavily linked with him and Lens has already spoken out to the press that he would like to go there.

 

Thought I remember hearing he wanted a move to a top team in a Premier League? Strange

Vydra's been pretty disappointing since the turn of the year, and even when he was scoring a lot, it was hard to put my finger on any outstanding attributes. I don't think he's up to it, personally.

 

Okay, thought I'd inform you guys as Lens himself confirmed today that Kiev is in negotiations with PSV.

 

If there is one person I would loan, it is Thibaut Courtois. Unlikely though

 

I think this talk of £30m is BS, think about it we spent £28m last summer and we weren't trying to break in the top 4 and we didn't have a seasons worth of Prem money. I can see us spending closer to £50m.

To be honest with you, there are several players likely to be available on loan that I'd take.

At the end of the day we should persue any avenue that benefits the team/squad. In certain positions (wingers, back up full back, goalkeeper) a loan player of quality would be a very good option I think, wouldn't be bloking any youngsters from coming through (in those positions in the immediate future) whilst also allowing another season before a)re-assesing young players like targett b)purchasing the players permanantly after the season/buying top quality players to play in that position after having a good season.

Taking chelsea as an example, given that MP and JM have a good relationship and given the signings chelsea are making/likely to make - I wouldn't say no to Marin, De Bruyne, Courtois, Van Aanholt, Lukaku and others on loan. One or two carefully chosen loans, as several clubs proved last season, can be very benefitial and provide quality in key areas.
