Dortmund signing Eriksen should surely rule them out for now as they play in similar positions. Juve could well be, but they're notorious for being cheap and 20m is a lot of money. Hopefully a deal will be wrapped up in the coming days, really hope it is us, there must be some credibility in the rumors now as various sources are reporting it.

well the thing is guys just cos everyone jumps on doesn't mean there's truth behind it. I think if a cluse has been triggered then everyone would print the thing cos if someone else is actually the club then they can print LFC beaten to... type stories. this is why the echo's piece is interesting me. They are hedging.

No i think if we are in for this guy then there is still a lot to do and that must be what the echo's sources are saying. If it were this week to close then the echo would be at the front of the queue.

 

I don't. Liverpool don't want to sell so why advertise a release clause? Real Madrid want to buy so why tell other clubs there is a release clubs and create potential competition for his signature? If the release clause is agreeable by both parties, why highlight it? If the buying club doesn't want to pay it, it makes no sense to highlight it either.

The only time it is beneficial to publicise a release clause is if the player wants out no matter where he is going.

cos the donesk coach was quoted saying so? If he did say it its a signal to print stories in my view and can explain even the beeb printing it. I am on about the release clause for Henrikh Mkhitaryan in what i said. I think that once thier coach said it had been triggered its a free for all here to get lfc linked then move to tottenham are in and finally wait for the deal not to happen and then print that dortmund stepped in. you get 3 stories from one quote... nice!

I would agree the release clause rubbish about suarez was made up by a press hack cos i believe LFC even rubbished it existed. The thing about release clauses is they are fully known to agents of the players so they are enver private. if suarez wants real to know it its easy to give it to them.

This is a shoulder shrugger.... it could be 50 things here. where is he interviewed? Why did he say it? Could it be a tell us of your child hood type interview, who did you support as a kid?

Did he sit in an interview and stab marseille in the heart ala suarez or is this some press joker taking an innocent interview and misquoting to make a story?

I was just talking about the reasoning behind announcing a release clause, didn't release anyone had done anything different to what we had already see; aka Donesk coach.

That is disappointing.

 

Not a like for like replacement but the deal makes sense.

Last season we often line up with:

That could become:

Hopefully combined Aspas and Mick can get more goals for the season than Suarez. Sturridge has shown looks good for the goals. Coutinho is the best thing thats happened to us in years. If Borini comes good and Henderson carries on we will be in a fantastic position going forward.

If Suarez goes we will need another striker for depth to though. Benteke, Gameiro, Lamela, Damioa, Michu, Ba (apparently Mourinho is not a fan). Plenty of options.

apparently Udinese have rejected an £8 mill bid from an unnamed premier club.

 

Good player, was on loan at Watford last year, striker, bagged loads of goals, half the price of Zaha and twice the player from what I've seen of both!

 

He plays for Udinese.
