Sunderland will have at least ten new additions in before pre-season and the sheer volume of Italian based players that they have enquired about illustrates Roberto Di Fanti’s intention to move quickly and decisively this summer.

    taken from the journal

obv. its only an opinion but if it does turn out to be true my word what a difference a year makes.

Cavanda and Duncan the next two in?

Wonder if Di Canio makes the players he wants to move on train with the reserves until they go

We need to not build ourselves up for this season, lot of faces going to need time to settle, unavoidable as we're just too thin to not get all these players in. Fitness is going to be second to none, but the defence organisation and fluency is going to be a problem first half of the season at least. Mid table finish for me like this year.

With this many new faces it could go either way. I remember when Sven took over at Man City, he pretty much renewed the team and did ok..then you look at QPR..total disaster

True, we could hit the ground running. but i'm keeping myself grounded despite my excitement at the way the club is taking shape

The money thrown at the QPR players was the main reason for their demise! I reckon if you get good players for lower wages then they want to play football rather than just pick up their wages

I reckon we should be in for Bent, he made his mistake last time and will learn by it so he will beg us to sign him and he will want to play regular to get back into the England team.

I think we will only play with 1 up top but Bent doesn't bring others into play

I think we will bring in someone to challenge Fletch to start upfront, someone with pace, power, good link up play and who scores goals also
