The capital cup first round has resumed the bitter south coast rivalry between........

    AFC Bournemouth vs Portsmouth

Its an away tie for pompey, so at least they get to visit a decent stadium.

Who do you want to win?

Has to be Bournemouth. My birth place and I can't support Pompey albeit I'm realy pleased they've drawn a money spinner in the first round.

I bet those little pompey scams do what they did last time, jump off the train at Soton Central (middle platform) shout a bit, hang a flag over a sign, take photos and jump back on the train claiming they "took" the station and Saints "no showed". Bless 'em.

I guess I want Bournemouth to win, though I went off them a bit when they attempted to hijack our rivalry with Pompey. One article at the time said it was a little known fact that there was a profound rivalry between Saints and Bournemouth....well, it was little known to Saints fans. The cup competitions are another reason why we need to get strength in depth...a team like us should be viewed as a good cup team, but we keep fielding severely weakened sides.

Struggling with this one. Boscombe vs P*mpey. Do I give a damn? On balance no, not at all. It's a little known fact that our former rivals don't really matter anymore.

It's lovely when 4th Division clubs get to play Championship sides, it's a real fairy tale for Pompey to visit Boscombe. I hope they enjoy the day and don't get too overawed by the occasion.

Without a trace of bigotry or irony, I hope it's a good game. A shame they have to meet because I'd like to see both do well.

Crikey. I had forgotten all about Pompey.

I'd thought they had gone out of business.

    What has happened?

Has some Arab rescued them again?

Who are our new rivals? Man Utd? Or should we aim higher and say Barca & Bayern Munich? How about Spain?

I'd say Brazil. It would give people a reason to complain about Guly.

We are unrivalled. Still hate P*mpey, obviously, but not with any real venom, now that the natural order has been restored.

Not until Thursday and then I shall leave you in peace for two weeks during which time you will have the board to yourselves.

It will be quite amusing to see them get dismantled by a bigger club.

I thought my pet Pompey fan would be pleased, but he was hoping for a low division side rather than the mighty Bournemouth. How have they fallen!!

I'm displeased because it'll be the fifth time we've played them in less than 12 months. FFS, can we play someone else please?!

I reckon Boscombe will play a weakened side against lower league opposition.
