Not so sure about that, and Shola's a lot cheaper.

    And B&W.

Not that it needed doing, but the guy's managed to say something, then contradict himself even before his employers make an announcement. I mean, didn't Joe claim he "knew a good player"? Anyone who's ever seen football knows Bent's sh!t.

Bent does score goals. He's a target man. He'd help get the ball down for Cisse. And oh yes, he is actually Premiership quality.

I'd love AC to come home, but he's injury prone and out of action for a while anyway. Bent would be at the very least a very good squad addition.

    No.

Bent is a return to all that was bad about pre-Ashley NUFC, without the ambition. Worst possible type of signing

Bents not a target man at all. He get's the ball and he shoots, brings no one into the game. He's greedy therefore scores a few but offers zero to the "team"

This all must be an elaborate prank.

    1. JFK returns
    2. The press relating to his return is handled by JFK himself with no club input
    3. We sign a ****e former mackem who is limited beyond belief

    This is getting hilarious.

You just don't have Mikes sense of humour GLITF. I blame all those threatened his family. His revenge is turning out to have much more substance than their threats. <laugh> He's in it for the long haul too.

A little joke to cheer you up:

The way to a man's heart is through his stomach.

    Unless he's a vegetarian.

Then you can get there through his fanny.

I'll stand alone on this one then cos I think it is a cracking signing for the money.
The lad scores goals and goals are what we need.
Andy Cole was one dimensional and look what he did.
The added bonus will be that the Mackems despise him so it's a rare light moment in an overcast footballing landscape just now.

The grief he would get in the derbies. Mind you, he would be a dead cert to score lol.

Could be a good goalscorer for a 2-3 years for you guys.

Could be absolutely ****e. Hard to say with how it's gone for him at Villa.

There's worse you could be going for, for more money.

He most certainly is not a target man mate, he plays of the last man. With diminishing pace those goals are going to dry up. However, he puts himself in the right place at the right time, so long as you're putting balls in the box then he's always going to score goals.

I wish he'd just go to Hull so I don't have to dedicate any of my brain to contemplating Bent in/Cisse out. They're the same fcking player in my book, cannot fathom how this kid is seen as a solution to our problems.

You know what's mad mate. We've envied your scouting network the last few seasons. While we've been signing **** british based players with prem experience for way more than they're worth, you've been bringing bright young talent from the continent cheaply. And in the space of a month it's completely reversed. 6 million is a lot off money for a stop gap signing on an aging player who's halved is pace in the last season through age and a bad injury. With young budding strikers all over the continent chomping at the bit to play in the premiership, this is a very bad move indeed. Keep the Faith and ride the storm like always. It's all you can do.

Never a dull moment in northeast football.
