plays for PSV but has been loaned out the last two season's he has played around 70games in those two season's in the Dutch top flight so its not as if he has been sat on the bench every week apparently we have scouted him during the u21 tournament the lad is 22 he has also been involved with the Dutch Senior setup
If he was the keeper for Holland at the u21s I will have seen him play as I saw all the games, looked ok but don't see the point of bringing him in when we have Pickford.
Surely you cannot make Pickford second choice, he has no experience at all He needs a year, probably even two out on loan before he is deemed ready to be a second choice keeper in the premier league. I personally would not be surprised if we brought in two keepers this summer and sent Pickford to League 1 for the year
Looks good. Cracking save around 3:10. If all this praise surrounding Pickford is to be true he should be number 2. Then we should look to bring someone into the academy who can be number 3
Tbf, he's only 19 and a good prospect but your probably right, as somebody said on another thread, could potentially be a baptism of fire, needs to prove himself first, however i do rate the lad
why? Not saying Westwood is a bad keeper because he aint but if we can get better than I am all for it we are casting our net afar and looking for good players who we will improve and for a small fee compared to an english equivalent, it will be no different in our hunt for a keeper or two
Because theres nothing between Westwood and Mignolet. Mig only got in because of Westwoods injury, he deserves his chance.
Agreed. Would have put him in ahead of Mig prior to his injury. Not knocking Mig tho, he was brill for us last season.
