Cole? you mean Owen?:) plus Hernandez Rooney. Right now, as it stands, none of these players would be of any use to Liverpool, Rooney I would not swap with Suarez and the rest well.. need I say more

The WUMs are getting thicker and thicker as 606 closes. bpl234 you're making a fool of yourself mate, you're barely literate.

Perhaps you should go back to your own board and let your hate seethe for a bit longer.

I think the overall feeling is that we would have given it a better go, due to our European pedigree and how we have the knack to come up big against all the big teams we play.

If Barca is on, there is very little chance to beat them..... but is nice to have that 5 to 3 still on our side!

£35 million for a donkey who could prove to be one of the most embarrassing money deals ever. Torres was overpriced I grant you, but at least he was an established player. But Carroll???? <laugh>

Andy Carroll: 31 Appearances and 14 goals this season.

I'd say that was pretty good.

9 total appearances for Liverpool and 2 goals. Hardly £35 million worth.

I thought we bought him because of his promise, different dimension he gives our attacking line, someone suarez can play off of. Also I think that 12 goals in half a season helped with that price.

Oh, don't forget about the English quota or rather homegrown that will need to be met by most teams. Why not get the best England has to offer in if you can?

9 appearances and 2 goals...the clue is in the stat. It's 9 appearances, about 3 of which he's been fully fit for.
I could isolate a run of 9 of Rooney's appearances from this season where he's scored nothing, then say he's not worth 27 million (which is what you paid for him as a teenager...unproven) or the 200k + a week he's now being paid.

Rooney's is a proven player (yes he had a poor start to the season, but improve to his best when it mattered)
Mandy is still unproven, so time will see if he is really worth the £35M

Let me tell the doubters a little story.
In 1993 Kenny Dalglish signed a non prolific Geordie from Southampton for a record fee.He had a similar build to Andy Carroll was more or less the same age as Andy Carroll and was as much a handful as Andy Carroll. What was him name again....Oh yeah Alan Shearer.Thats the reason why Kenny signed him,He can see Alan Shearer in him.Alan Shearer himself has said Andy Carroll reminds him alot of himself at the same age,and he knows for a fact that Andy Carroll is working with the best,as he himself thrived working with Kenny.

Look Rooney has been rubbish for all but 3 games this season, eventhe city goal of the season, he was ****ing terrible woeful that day and got fknlucky with a sunday morning park football overhead and he has te cheek to give it the god like crap when he was sheite for the enitre game apart from the goal, this si fine with a team like city that won't make you pay, but look at what happens when you play a team where you cannot afford deadweight like Rooney when every one has to work hard and provide. Fergie had to slap his hand for being bold in front of how many millions of viewers
