Aye mate he would be a great signing for hull. Tbh if the price was right and wouldn't mind him back at the sol. We know he can score goals.
Yep he regrets leaving and all the that BS. If we could get him for 4-5m I would deffo take him back much better than graham and He will score goals. Yes he's 29 but easy got 2-3 good years left in him
I'm glad he screwed his career up, serves him right, still, the millions will be of some comfort to him.
Sorry mate totally disagree with you. When Bent left i ****in hated him With a passion. But at the end if the day if he came back even you would support him once he started scoring. He can score goals and that's what we have missed since fletcher got injured. I would much rather have bent up front with fletcher than graham.
More like he doesn't look bothered anymore - if somebody could get him going again he could still be a 20 goal a season player IMO
“Steve made Bent his first signing at Sunderland and he rates him very highly.' Correct me if im wrong but wasnt it Bramble?
According to the Daily Mirror Hull City boss Steve Bruce is ready to go back to Sunderland for right back Phil Bardsley and rescue him from his row with Paolo di Canio. Bardsley joined Sunderland in 2008 making over 167 Appearances for Sunderland scoring 7 goals Sunderland won't stand in Bardsley's way should Hull come knocking. The 27-Year-old was pictured lying on the floor covered in £50 notes late on the night Sunderland’s place in next season’s Premier League was confirmed, Arsenal beat Wigan 4-1 Bardsley had anyway been a bit-part player last season after never recovering from missing the whole of pre-season through injury. Despite being the club’s only specialist right-back he started just 11 league matches, often watching from the bench as midfielder Craig Gardner filled in for him. Di Canio will hardly have been enamoured by the fact both defenders have appealed against their fines. Bardsley was docked two weeks’ wages, £60,000. Sundeland have already signed Modibo Diakite on a Bosman, Di Canio is now eyeing his former Lazio teammate Luis Pedro Cavanda as Phil Bardsley’s replacement. Cavanda is a Belgian Under 21 international of Angolan descent who made his Lazio debut in 2009 but only really established himself in the first team last season, 22-Year-old has made 29 apperances for Lazio since joining them in 2007 from Standard Liège Lazio are believed to value the youngster around the £4million mark but Sunderland would offer little more than half that sum. Di Canio is keen to play with genuinely attacking full-backs at Sunderland next season and Cavanda fits that bill far more than anyone the Black Cats currently have on their books.
We have no chance of getting Bent, we all know that down here, its stupid made up stories these papers make up which make us look stupid. Theres probably legs in Bardsley deal, however, When Elmo signs after he returns from Internationals, & IF Rosenior renews his contract, there wont be need for him. Nor do I want him, as I dont rate him.
Bruce liked Elmo on the wing with us mate, he might push elmo further forward because he really rates Bardo.
To be honest, he is very average and only shows his best when he's playing for a contract renewal, he did it the season he signed his last contract and got player of the season, signed the contract then back to average. Last player i'd sign. This season he's struggled with injury but when fit he's just not put the effort in. Others could well disagree but that's my take.
