I think it'd be fun to play in this Spain team, just keeping the ball and knocking it around for fun but it's not particulaly entertaining to watch rom a neutrals point of view. Get's results though so until another team find a better way of playing football, guess we're stuck with watching it.
I think that depends who they are playing. When a team tries to press them (and Barca) it is very entertaining IMO, the way they are able to still keep the ball in tight spaces never seizes to amaze me. Its is pure brilliance at times which I could never find boring! Against someone like Luxembuurg or Macedonia is a little different
Yeah, so far Spain have had 92% possession against Uruguay. Just said imagine what it's going to be like when they play Tahiti?!
I don't mind watching them: it's purist football. I just hate 90 minutes of commentators explaining how good it is like no one sitting at home has ever seen a game of football before.
I'm not watching it. I would have if it had been in Uruguay as I'd have thought Uruguay would press them then
Heating up a bit there. Spain unhappy with an "elbow" with Ramos holding his face when Cavani put his arm round the back of his neck, then Ramirez holds off Alba with an arm into the face. Cavani should have equalised from Suarez's free kick then.
Despite it being 2-0, I find it incredibly boring watching them pass it about like that, tbh. Maybe it's good technically but football is about entertainment and as a neutral it doesn't do a lot for me. It may be 92% possession but for 91% sod all is happening. Eventually an opening comes along, a flash of brilliance and it gets exciting for a moment and then it's back to the grind. Lawrenson annoys me every time he opens his gob as well.
But isn't that the case with most types of football? Its never exciting 100% of the time, its the creative brilliance that gets people going and Barca create as many (probably more) than most other teams.
