    So guys where do you think we're positioned in terms of signing the skillful striker? since the announcement was made, a lot of Arsenal and Liverpool fans now seem to be convinced he is on his way to them? Anyone no of any stonewall source that has said who's favorite to sign him? It appears he has gone from dead cert deal to a three way fight, starting to worry it was all hype nothing more :/

    I don't think anyone truly knows at present where he's going apart from him and his agents.

    I think we've got an outside chance, to be honest. There's a possibility, but not a huge one.

    If it doesn't happen, cwarr07 is going to get A LOT of bollocking

    Nothing is a done deal until the club announce he's signed and present him to the media.

    For a few seasons; Mike has ensured that transfers are kept secret and it's been quite beneficial in a way as we've managed to get players in without a bidding war

    Gervinho says he will say where he's going at the end of the week.

    surely if he's announcing where he's going Lille have accepted a bid of some sort? can't imagine Arsenal beating us in a bidding war??

    yh i was hopeful about that...+ i duno how keen liverpool will be to shed out on another big money signing
    we have big French connections aswell but yeah if Gervinho dosnt happen we need to put all our resources towards Gamerio to avoid the dreaded cole...

    Plus, would be good to be able to see him play more often, regardless of the club.
