I'd want it written into his contract that he had to score at least 3 volleys a year from outside the box.
Haven't seen anything of him other than that goal, is he a decent winger? Looks like he scores about 7 a season for Fenerbache according to Wikipedia
Pretty much all of his goals were in one season, the season before last.
Bear in mind the league though, the teams towards the bottom of the Turkish league are dire.
Very good, but 2 in 23 and 0 in 14 aren't good at all, especially considering the opposition!
What about assists though? That is the number one priority of a winger to provide the service for the front men.
He played 836 mins in the league last season scoring 1 goal. He was subbed/ or came on as sub 15 times in his 17 games played.
I've had a brief look but found nothing - I'll just point out I'm not against him, the last time I remember seeing him play was when I happened to watch a couple of his sub appearances for Chelsea so I'm giving no opinion (though I must have seen him play at the world cup?), just mentioned that his scoring stats are too inconsistent to look at as a whole.

I've just searched for Lovren on that website and apparently all of his 6 red cards in the last 3 years have been second yellows. Not as bad as it looked!
Is that better? I'd have fewer qualms if they were straight reds for a professional foul, because picking up a second yellow with that frequency does suggest that he either needs better impulse control, or depth perception.
He's had 2 straight reds this season. This season as in the season that's just been played.
