Have to say that as strange as it sounds days like today are exactly the reason I love Newcastle United.

Yeah I'm unhappy with the appointment, but the fact is that there is rarely a dull moment supporting our club and the whole point of football is the excitement of the unknown etc. I always expect the unexpected from our club but they still manage to surprise me, scare the **** out of me and excite me at the same time.

If we win our fist 3 or 4 games of next season and get off to a good start nobody will give a **** about JK being DoF and rightly so.

It makes no sense, Ashley seems incapable of sustaining good PR for any length of time. Things have improved and surely these days were meant to be behind us, then BOOM, in comes this total idiot. Stupidity of the highest order.

Man, I cannot fathom any of this at all. It's another hugely unpopular measure, but the fat get owns the club so wtf does it matter what we think? I don't know if he's just into showing his wealth, or what, but it just doesn't make a lick of sense.

 

Whilst I find the appointment baffling, people seem to forget his 3 transfers for us have all been fairly successful. Nolan, Raylor and Lovenkrands were all solid appointments under JFK, and are all Toon legends in their own way. Wouldn't say no to more of the same.

 

Do you know what - the topic of this thread is very apt, but dammit something HAS to change at this goddam football club. I am going to write to the local press and beg them to refrain from ANY reporting on NUFC until Mike Ashley opens his fat fcking gob and explains precisely what this kind of bullsh!t is about. This fcking oaf has stitched us up at every damn turn with no apparent agenda and it has to stop somewhere. He needs to come out and face the music - I just get this feeling of him sat in his untouchable ivory tower guffawing (and presumably spitting food everywhere) at his latest joke. I honestly believe he does it at NUFC specifically because of the captive audience; us lot have been through some crap in our time and still supported the club in numbers, but this clown doesn't appear to have a potted history stretching pre-Premier League else he might tread a little more cautiously given the Westwood era.

It's like renaming SJP - it's one of those cherished things, those untouchable things that mustn't be meddled with for fear of....what, exactly? I imagine he actually said "watch this - I bet I can change the name and the dopey tw@ts will still but a ticket...." Because it had no purpose. The sole purpose was to allegedly expand our revenue potential. It gave his sh!tty shops some free advertising - and he knew that was all that would happen, he knew no company would ever want to be associated with soiling the great name. And the first commercial agreement resulted in the ground being called....St James Park. But does anyone pull him up on it, anyone grab him by the scruff of the neck and demand to know why he was so keenly taking the pi$$? Nope, we just sighed and smiled that SJP was back, let's dismiss the past. He dicked KK around, Shearer as well - two SJP icons - and stood by mates like Jimenez, Kinnear and Wise. He got the club relegated, actually took them down from his fcking around. It's all such a joke, such a shame. Even the PR the other week seemed loaded - this is a comment designed by experts, vetted and re-written to sound right - and the prevailing line was "affordable football". Don't tell me they looked at this document and thought "there, that'll win the fans over". It's impossible, we are not talking about ill educated morons here, we are talking about vastly rich men who know exactly what they're doing. They looked at that and knew the veiled nature of saying "nope, not nice football, not winning football, not successful football.....AFFORDABLE football! Lols, good one, Derek."

I'm just sick to the eye teeth of being considered a pleb by these people, who sit smugly believing that if they spend just enough the club can stay up - which is success enough for them, though they'd never admit it. I mean, come on - they sacked Hughton because he was becoming popular to replace him with the last guy any of us would think of. Then offered him an 8 year contract.

I honestly don't know what the game is at this club, it's all guessing. But no guess can tell me it's a positive club, that Ashley is good for this club, that this man deserves to be here or deserves to stay. We need to do something about, we need to boycott this club, spend our money on more important things, spend our time getting him out, spend our energy on pressing the media to do the honourable thing and ignore this club like a child having a tantrum until the man at the top either honestly explains his actions or simply fcks off.

 

The only way to get Ashley out of the club is to stop buying tickets and merchandise. Unfortunately, he's clever enough to know that joe public and particularly their kids (who are mostly not old enough to understand what an utter joke our club has become) who want to go to games, to buy shirts with their favourite players names on the back. Ashley is a businessman and once he starts losing money and once an asset starts costing him money to maintain he will get rid. This needs a concerted effort from all fans for the good of the club. This parasite needs to get the **** out before we end up in really deep s**t.
