You are correct liverpool are not the right club as they ain't a top club just a also ran in a higher pecking order above us two I would guess you would see the money put back in the team tho unlike fat mike
Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre has delayed a trip to Brazil to try to push through a deal for Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet this week. Liverpool have offered £8million for the 24-year-old Belgium international. Sunderland are holding out for £10m but the expectation is that he will go to Anfield, increasing the likelihood that Barcelona target Pepe Reina will leave after seven seasons.
the sunday tabloids are coming out now, and the more i read the more i think they are full of ****! he's our keeper our mighty keeper oh simon mignolet
love him to bits , got me loads of points in my fantasy leg .I tend to stay away from safc players because they always let me down . but the mig ohhh the mig he normaly does me proud .
i can see a new contract being announced me like mate, we could spend the next hour copying and pasting, nothing has nowt as far as i can see so far. sign up mig!
If a new contract is on the horizen then that would be a great bit of business by the club . God I hope its so, and sorted soon .
Read some of the posts on here and, to be honest if he goes he goes. If however we only get 10mil for him we are stepping away from one of the best keepers in the league and showing zero ambition in improving the team. We should be keeping our best players not selling them on. Personally can't see what Liverpool have to offer him as the are not in Europe and, if Reina stays he would be second choice. I think that if true it won't be Liverpool but, one of the European teams. Of those needing a keeper I reckon Chelsea or Arsenal will be his destination.
The only one up there that needs him is Arsenal, Chelsea have Cech and can recall Coutinho if they have to, but even if they cant, they still dont need mig. Thats why us stipulating in his contract that a team must have to be in the CL would be stupid for him to sign. Man U = De Gea Man City = Hart Chelsea = Coutinho Arsenal = ...... 3 world class, young keepers. and Liverpool have more chance of breaking into that top 4 than we will ever have.
Havent read any other threads as I would guess I don't need to. The stock answer to any £10m bid should be **** off. Try starting at £15m and we do the deal. If he goes for less we have a bunch of muppets working a the club now and a bunch of thick, useless ones at that. I'd sooner keep him for 2 years and let him go for nowt after as he only cost us £1.5m and to sell him for less than £15m means we have been shafted out of £5m. We would be better off working the £5m difference out of him for 2 years.
Top and bottom is that Mig has two years on his contract. If PDC says he stays, he stays unless Sunderlands valuation is met. I very much doubt that 10m will be our valuation. 6'7,8m is a frigging joke. Start at 20m and let them haggle if they want him. As far as I'm concerned he's worth more to us than Henderson so pay up or f@#k off.
With you on this one Cest, just don't see any reason to sell him. Although 15million reasons would probably sway it, forgot he cost us next to nowt (relatively speaking) so yes keep him another year at least and see where we are going. We will still make money on him if the lad wants to leave after that.
It matters not one iota how much we paid for him as to what we should price we should settle for. If you buy a car for how well it holds its money and doesn't depreciate by the time you trade it in, you are buying a car for the wrong reasons i.e. not because you like it.
