This is a possibility though,Pepe to carry on as No.1 for this season with Mignolet playing cup games and injury lay-offs with the promise of being our new No.1 the following season. Just a possibility mind. I'll be sad to see Pepe go,he's been a good servant to the club. Best keeper we have had since Grobs IMO.
He's a developing goalkeeper, he'll see more of the ball with us then with you lot. side step is being kind, you've less to offer then we have. Fact And a lot of you are talking like he's already signed. Hope Arsenal gazump you. Would serve the lot of you right.
Be weird to see LFC without Reina. Only really remember him, Dudek and a few from that era - James etc.
So you're saying goalkeepers & defenders should go to **** teams so they see more of the ball and have to do more defending Maybe he's had enough practice stopping shots with you lot and now wants to try and improve his concentration. Playing for us he'll see less of the ball meaning he'll need to concentrate and ensure that of the 1 or 2 shots he has to save a game he makes sure he saves them. Top keepers are able to do nothing all game and then pull off one save to keep their side infront. Playing for a team where he has 20 shots a game to save he won't get much practice at that.
To be fair we did finish 22 points ahead of Sunderland last season so I don't understand how you can say its kind to call it a side step. To be honest I was thinking that we really should not be talking like its a done deal as so far it is only a popular rumour. If Arsenal beat us to him then fair enough we will just find another keeper just like Sunderland will find another keeper if he moves. Thats football
Hendo was playing every game and flourishing for us. You signed him, played him on the right (and you lot moaned that he couldn't pass a player when he isn't even a winger!) and stunted his growth for a season and a half, he's just starting to show the form he was showing for us! and back at ya.
Should check out the Sunderland board mate, him and Belfast made a good few sensible posts on there too despite all the **** being flung at them.
My point was that he was playing every game for Sunderland (his boyhood club) but joined us despite not being guaranteed a first team spot. Not too much different to now with Migs.
