.. one of his worst performances was in the FA Cup games against Man City - the replay ... now I'm not underestimating the opposition but a powder puff challenge on Tevez who more or less just walked through him for the first goal was compounded by giving a penalty away to the same player by falling for the most obvious dummy I've seen outside of a school playing field. Neither of those were down to being beaten by a touch of brilliance and I would have expected far more from someone with genuine premiership potential, even at that stage of a career ... i doubt that either Michael Keane or Liam Moore would have made those particular errors ... just my opinion.

This is my lasting image of Jack Hobbs in a Leicester shirt.

The way he put his right leg down to 'tackle' Tevez for the first was laughable.

Jack Hobbs was solid 90% of the time for us. He rarely had a bad game when Nigel was here

I would have him back in a shot. Hobbs and Morgan at the back would be solid

I always said selling Hobbs was a mistake

All about opinions as we often say ... Steve Bruce's appears to be that Hobbs is not a Premiersip level player ... and from what I've seen of him I tend to agree ... for me Liam Moore has bags more potential...

For me people are reading far too much into that Man City game. Yes Hobbs played bad but Tevez was the best striker in the country at the time. Sol Bamba struggled at Man City but had a stormer at the KP.

Hobbs was our best player in the year we made the play offs

Judging purely on their time at Leicester, I'd prefer to have Hobbs.

Curtis Davies is a far better player... that's why Prem teams are after him ... none rushing to sign Jack ... but it's all about opinions.

Not for me ... Andy King, Richie Wellens, Nobby Solano, Lloyd Dyer all better ...

You off you rocker if you though Andy King, Nobby Solano and Lloyd Dyer was better

Our best players that season where Jack Hobbs, Chris Weale, Richie Wellens and Martyn Waghorn

King got a late flurry of goals but massive struggled for the first half of the season. Solano came in quite late and added some composure to the back but nothing special and Lloyd Dyer was the same as ever. In and out of form

    Agreed

Until Paulo Sousa ruined him Jack Hobbs was top class for us. Paulo Sousa completely ruined both Jack Hobbs and Michael Morrison

How? ... did he play them as wingers? ... more likely they just found their level.

Wouldn't be the first time that I'd be accused of that ... but Prem teams are sniffing around Andy King ... who's come in for Jack Hobbs? ...

and with all due respect, if you know anything about football you'd surely realise that even playing full back Nobby was different class ... always had time on the ball and would look to keep possession by picking a pass ... Jack Hobbs and Wayne Brown were more in the 'hoof it and hope we get a break brigade' ...

Anyone who seen them play under Nigel and then under Sousa can clearly see the difference

Michael Morrison, Jack Hobbs, Bruno Berner, Matty Fryatt, Martyn Waghorn and Chris Weale's Leicester career all went downhill when Nigel left. The team went from finshing 5th place to bottom and getting thrashed 6-1 at Portsmouth. It was quite clear to see something wasnt right

Jack Hobbs was very good for us under Nigel and he has done a very good job at Hull for Nigel and the other managers there

Sorry Proud don't buy it. Played to a fair standard myself and into my forties. No managers I played under affected my ability THAT much. At the end of the day you are a footballer - you go out and play.

Solano did very well but there wasnt much competition. Michael Morrison always done a decent job at right back but you could always tell he was a centre half playing right back. I was a better option then Robbie Neilson. Nobby is one of the most technically gifted players to play in the premiership so he natural skill was always going to come out regardless of what position he played

Back onto Hobbs he was superb alongside a experienced pro like Wayne Brown and Aleksandar Tunchev. He was even decent alongside Michael Morrison when Nigel was here

But once Sousa came in and started playing Moreno and then Vitor at centre half Hobbs struggled. Sven brought in some crap centre half's to replace Hobbs in Ben Mee and Jeff Bruma. Sol Bamba was a complete bombscare. Jack Hobbs is a better defender then Sean St. Ledger and I said at the time in made no sense what so ever to sell Hobbs and replace him with St. Ledger.

Everyone then said Hobbs' distribution wasnt good enough etc. Then we spent 4M on a centre half who kept thinking he was David Beckham and kept punting the ball straight for goal kicks.

Last season we struggled to find Wes Morgan a decent partner with St. Ledger being injured alot, Zak ****bread being injured and when he was fit he was awful. Michael Keane did well but his inexperience and lack of strength cost us at times.

If we had someone like Jack Hobbs alongside Wes Morgan then it would be a solid base to start with aslong as we keep Kasper and hopefully replace Konch

Sousa came in and tried to change the philosophy of the club over night. Thats why things went so wrong so fast. The players wasnt fit enough and he wanted us to start knocking the ball around like Barcelona. Hobbs won player of the season the year we made the play offs and was rated very highly by Nigel. Hence why he was so keen the take him to Hull once Hobbs was made available

Ask yourself this, other then Wes Morgan name one defender who is better then Hobbs that he been here since he left?

I did stress the point of "purely on their time at Leicester". Davies may have developed quicker than Hobbs since leaving, I'm not in the best position to judge that though.

    I disagree

Vitor was injured too often and i rated Hobbs more. Tunchev was injured too much and we never had a genuine idea of how good he really was and he only really played in league 1

Curtis Davies was only good when he could be bothered, Its too early to say Michael Keane.

And because of his flamboyancy Sol Bamba was always over rated.
