Shame we couldn't have got them to put a bid in for Carroll then, we might had gotten a decent chunk of it back.

But I guess.. Falcao or Carroll? Hmmm I wonder?! :p

Lol Yeah E: but from what I've heard is the Carroll deed not done which us paying for Daenarys?

Same place everybody else: until they all say it its not true lol

I actually think for good or bad with these transfers at least we seem to be showing a plan, a direction. I'd rather have that than the turmoil of the last few years.

I don't even mind (would obviously prefer not) if half the transfers fail. That's about average. We at least seem to have some mad plan lol.

It's certainly an improvement from last summer!

Just hope we can make a big name signing, that Henri fella maybe?

Yes, and the price (in the rumours) seems to be coming down. If it ends up at the 17/18 I'd be very happy.

    Agreed Frank <ok>

Haven't they recently sold two important players though? Would they sell a third?

I worried about that. Either they're under the kosh money wise or they're following the Athletico model and think spread money earned wide & keep developing.

Read a similar piece about us on that vein. The old walk before run. Stop trying to get & keep 3 superstars & get 11 CL competitors + 11 back ups first. Might mean selling the stars short term as long as we keep them in 2 year time with a strong squad to keep them.

Dunno: head says yes; heart says no.

you can do that i suppose,

only advice i would give is watch your download usage, everything we do on line is monitored somehow or can be if required, but if you download a lot of data you will draw attention to yourself, ie you have heard of supposed unlimited download usage but isp slow it down, well if requested your isp can pass on info to relevant authorities, so be absolute sure before you do anything or you take the chance/risk.

also to be on safe side, if people are going to give advice like this in public domain be sure info is correct first, i would advise doing it by pm myself which draws less attention.

haven't seen much of this Mignolet, is he that good?

also Arsenal was linked with him, but no mention of that, and is this the end for Reina then?

we had better get a good price for Reina if he is off.

Sky's Summer Transfer Guide - Liverpool

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12040/8770252/Transfer-guide

Brendan Rodgers will look to do deals that effect an improvement on Liverpool's seventh-placed finish, and if the club can add to the file marked 'Coutinho and Sturridge' rather than 'Allen and Borini' there are genuine reasons for optimism on Merseyside.

What's been said: "I believe there will be money to spend, in the areas that we want to improve, and that is going to be very important for us. The players have given everything this season. We are where we are and for us to improve we need quality - and that will take investment" - Brendan Rodgers.

The budget: Rumoured net spend of £20m.

What's needed: To sell Luis Suarez or not to sell Luis Suarez. That's the £40-50m question. If the rumours are true that Brendan Rodgers has only £20m to spend as the club tries to service large debts, then it's a no-brainer because this Liverpool side needs more than £20m of work to seriously compete for a Champions League place. If Suarez stays, that £20m will barely stretch to a new striker/winger (Iago Aspas) and a centre-half (Kyriakos Papadopoulos?) so ideas about signing Shakhtar Donetsk's £20m-rated attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan (who would add much-needed goals from midfield and end an over-reliance on Steven Gerrard) and his ilk are pie in the sky.

The club showed in January that a fair amount can be achieved with £20m (certainly more than was achieved last summer for £28m) but a hell of a lot more could be achieved with £60-70m if a big European club was willing to take a punt on the Uruguayan. Suddenly a specialist left-back becomes a possibility along with an attacking midfielder and a genuine finisher to replace Suarez. Is it worth losing your talisman to sign three or four players worthy of a top-four push? Brendan Rodgers and the rest of his committee may have the Premier League's biggest decision to make this summer.

Ideal signing: If Suarez stays, then Ashley Williams would add necessary resolve in defence. If the Uruguayan departs, Liverpool could do a lot worse than raid their closest rivals. £20million for Romelu Lukaku or Javier Hernandez, anyone?

Sky Bet: With Luis Suarez 1/3 to be granted his wish to leave Anfield this summer and 4/5 to move to Real Madrid, punters are already backing potential replacements. The Reds are 9/2 favourites to sign Christian Benteke while Loic Remy (3/1) has also been backed to move to Anfield this summer. Liverpool are also favourites to sign Barcelona's pacey young winger Christian Tello (5/2) while a return to Merseyside for Xabi Alonso (3/1) has attracted support. However, Liverpool fans will be hoping that it is the 9/4 bet on Suarez still being at the club come the close of the transfer window that pays out. Transfer specials here

Release list: Tyrell Belford, Jamie Carragher, James Stephens, Danny Wilson

    Sky are idiots.

Since when do we need a specialist left back? Enrique is fine and just needs a little consistency (A new CB might help that).
Williams? That's not happening, we've long since looked away from him. They're way behind the game with that link.
20mill for Lukaku or Hernandez? Right. I'd love Lukaku, but that's never happening. Chelsea aren't going to sell.

    Ideal signings my arse.

    no bias then lol.

i have been told he is good, but to be honest, as he doesn't play for us, not paid as much attention to him as i should have done.

you expect this to go through then, or hope you can keep him?
