I was about to ask you what had happened on the Rhodes front given our confirmed bid for Hooper. Shame, that. For me Rhodes ticks all the boxes and would have been top of my list.
I like Rhodes too, Dont know how Blackburn are going to comply with the FFP rules. Il try and find out what strikers were in for, Could be the obvious of Odemwingie, Austin, Kone and Hooper.
The accounts for FFP don't begin until the end of December this year, so they will be hoping they will be top of the league and looking comfortable for promotion by then. If they aren't they will sell him in January before the effects of his wages have a chance to bite. Could be quite a few clubs desperate to sell come January time, especially in the East Midlands. Worth noting as that will mean we can pick up some bargains. Leicester will be paying us to take Schmeichel off their hands by then!!
