All it take is for our owners to decide they want to sell to some rich Arab and Russian and, we too, will be able to buy glory. Whilst my heart will tell me that it would never want that to happen, my head knows full well that that is the way that we will inevitably "progress."
I've been to Niagara with my missus (the human one) and we stopped in a hotel that had a heart shaped jacuzzi in the room
FFP pretty much prevents that from happening. That's what Chelsea and City fans have been trying to tell everybody for years but been accused of selfishness. FFP limits your chances of usurping the Manchester clubs or London's top 2.
Just like to say... People say Chelsea and City 'buy the league'... What about United? You go through each member of their team and it's cost them a ****ing fortune! With regards to the spending... No... Spurs really don't spend the same amount of money as we do and hats off to them... They've done well and made shrewd business (despite Levy selling Modric for less than we offered!) but we have the money to spend, so why not spend it? If you got a billionaire owner, you'd do the same! Now you can criticise us for spending £50mil on Torres but it's not my money! I couldn't give a **** how much we spend on a player tbh.. £50mil to Roman is the equivalent to about £15mil for us... So lets go and get Cavani!
Too true Blue, money's made round to go round. Some like to count it (Levy) and some like to spend it.
Levy is just an employee. Spurs are owned by ENIC and ultimately by Joe Lewis. He's the one counting the cash.
FFP will never work. At some point in time an owner will make a challenge to these rules and some European court will quash the rules as being too restrictive on competition and/or trade. It's happened before in football.
No. You're confusing me with AVB. Currently, he has the Mighty Spurs Juggernaut parked in a lay-by, awaiting a new livery and re-fueling. But, do not despair young Robby, you'll be gazing in awe into the blinding glare of its powerful headlights, soon enough.
If you are going to comment on a topic at least have some knowledge of it. There is currently a challenge being made to FFP by the Lawyer who did Bosman. Do keep up. http://www.financialfairplay.co.uk/latest-news/legal-challenge-to-uefa-ffp-rules-by-bosman-lawyer
HIAG just spouts a whole lot of **** in the hope that some of it sticks. Most of it though just ends up in a horrible pile up like his juggernaut
