This is exactly right but I don't know why I'm being called a WUM and deluded for posting some facts about the relative achievements of Chelsea and Spurs prior to a few years back on a thread which is about 'banter'. I'm not claiming anything about big and small clubs just that things have changed before and will change again. In twenty years time its likely on historical form that one of Spurs and Chelsea will have played in the Championship for at least one season.
I feel that because of the growing financial disparity in the game caused by UEFA bods, the gap between the top and the rest will just get wider and we will be left like it was 5 years ago only with City and Liverpool swapping positions, so any outside threat would be quashed no matter how well Everton/Newcastle/Spurs/Liverpool do. If any of those clubs invest more then I think they'll challenge, Spurs/Newcastle/Everton/Liverpool all have the infrastructure to do it but they can't compete with the top 4 financially. I think ours and Arsenal's revenue is double that of Spurs/Liverpool and United's is treble. The CL opens the door to increased revenue streams.
Disagree. Look all around you. Football is set up now so that big clubs can't fail. Chelsea or Spurs won't go down within 20 years. Just not gonna happen.

I couldn't possibly comment as I'm mature enough not to have to resort to personal insults! I really don't come on here to WUM; I'm interested in Chelsea because my dad was a fan. If anything I post is factually incorrect or an opinion then tell me what is wrong with it in whatever terms you like!
