Saw highlights of Holland v China and Lens looked very dangerous & direct. 9m sounds a good price and as well as Dynamo being out of the champions league as a Black man I'd be hesitant to go to play in the Ukraine.

On Bueno I would take some of the rumor on prices quoted with a pinch of salt. As already discussed on here there is a strong possibility that prices quoted are in a different currency.
I would be surprised if we paid more for Bueno than we have on Forren or Mayuka.

I don't think that's a massive problem in Ukraine. Shakhtar is basically Brazil Reserves, and they don't seem to have any racism problems. Dynamo have a couple of Brazilians as well, and Ideye Brown.

I love two-footed strikers. Bueno fits the bill as young and if he can indeed play either wing equally well as well as upfront that flexibility will be of tremendous use and also allow him to find plenty of playing time to develop. Not too worried about supposed inconsistency. Not that it's great, but it's expected in a young player. And if he were consistently excellent we wouldn't be able to get him. Rickie should be good for another year so he won't need to be our primary offensive threat just yet.

The price tag, if true seems rather high. But even then, I'm willing to reserve judgment. If that's our big summer move that's a problem. But it may be that we have some bargains coming elsewhere and therefore don't mind splurging a bit here. And I don't know how much Saints have to spend, but it seems like the trust is aware of expenses seeing as how that seemed to be a sticking point in extending NC. As long as we end up getting all the players we need, the individual transfer fees for each are less important. Also I worry about wages more than transfers so if Beuno's cost is high but he plays for cheap that's fine.

I've never watched Bueno, probably none of us have. But if he is deemed worthy of that kind of money, then I say go with it. As i see it, it's alway better to pay big money for a genuine quality player than low amounts of money for a bunch of average player which will ultimatly have very small impact on the game and results.

That being said, the questin remains; is Bueno really that good? I don't know. If we buy him, then obviously Pochettino, Cortese and 'the comitee' think so, and that would be good enough for me.(if i had watched him, i could probably have a differing opinion on the subject, but I haven't, so i'm going with their judgment.)

Reports in The Sun are linking with us an £8 million move for Ever Banega. I remember him to be a wonderkid on Football Manager back in the day, but I haven't seen much of him in the past few years to come up with a fair view of him. Thoughts?

He plays in Spain. MP used to manage in Spain. He's from Argentina. MP is from Argentina. Can't see this one happening to be honest.

He was reported to have been injured when he was hit by his own car at a garage which resulted in serious leg injuries, so hasn't played much lately.

How about the yearly rumour we're holding off signing so we can unveil them together? That's gotta be right, right?
