..and managing to confuse a Toro Rosso for a Red Bull in the image caption. Good, high quality journalism for the Daily Fail as usual.

Edit: And I've just read as far as the third image, where they now confuse Massa and Alonso. Wow.

    Yup, better late than never.
I think he will feel a lot better when he concentrates on racing again instead of badmouthing.

Oh yes, lots of journo fail there, from tense torture ("Neither was Senna in the fastest car when... his barnstorming drive... bringing him to world attention") to detailed analysis ("watching the documentary, the similarities between Senna and Hamilton come thick and fast. For example, for Senna versus Prost read Hamilton versus Fernando Alonso" - oh, right, well, thanks for explaining why).

The interesting thing, though, is that Hamilton is (allegedly - I wouldn't put it past the Daily Mail to make something up from scratch) back to talking about quitting F1 again. That I find worrying.

If you notice they say on the picture he is stuck behind Mark Webber yet it's Jaime Alguesuari, also the picture with the Ferrari infront says it's Fernando yet you can clearly see it's Massa with his obvious green helmet.

Don't rule anything out. Maybe Petrov is not who you should be looking at.

Yeahhh! Heidfeld is rubbish, I can understand why they chose him because of his experience and they thought they had a very good car, but seeing as their car is not as good as they thought and Heidfeld is doing his usual beige driving they shoudl give Senna a go.

I can't quite work out what's up with Heidfeld at the moment. He is very talented - if one is to believe that Kubica (pre-crash) was one of the best drivers on the grid, then Heidfeld was one of the better drivers on the grid - proven from their time as teammates.

He had the advantage of early Pirelli testing, and pre-season testing with Renault so it's hard to understand why Nick Heidfeld is underperforming. Unless Petrov has greatly improved, but then why would Boullier describe Heidfeld as "not good enough"?

There are still flashes of the old Petrov. He crashes too much. I can't believe that Petrov has really improved so much as to be matching/Beating anyone who is equal to Kubica.

    Sam Michael agrees with you:

To be fair I think most people on here were less convinced that it was 100% Hamilton's fault than the Massa hairpin (not tunnel) incident.

lol, you gotta feel a bit sorry for nick, he has almost 50% more points than his team-mate, is ahead of both Mercedes and one of the Ferraris, is currently 6th in a car that should be 9th and he's getting grief.

Good point. 6th in the WDC isn't bad at all.

Haven't been paying much attention to the championship much, but being ahead of Massa and Rosberg is impressive.

I think Maldonado would be given the benefit of the doubt since it wasn't a clear cut straight line, Maldonado has to turn or risk marbles on his tyres.

I agree from this point of view it does look close to a racing incident, but it looked like Maldonado was already braking and commited to turn before Lewis, while he was trying to plant his car infront to slow him down. Either way I think Lewis was punished because maybe it looked like it wasn't going happen and he was intent using him as a buffer to make it work.

I think the problem with the Maldonado incident was that Hamilton was a bit too far behind so it was a bit of a lunge and Maldonado probably could not see him. If you look at the Schuamcher overtake Hamilton is almost wheel to wheel with him entering the braking zone.

Its not horror show by any means, but i think we all and Renault expected him to be faster than Petrov. He has 8 more points than Vitaly at this point last year Kubica had 53 more points than vitaly. Petrov has improved since no doubt but not that much. In raw pace Petrov seems faster than Nick at the moment it is just his chrashes that are letting him down.

I think Boullier likes to give these public rockets to his drivers. He was doing it for most of last season to Petrov but took no other action. So maybe it follows that he's just doing the same to Nick here: a bit of 'gentle encouragement', if you like.
