I'm all for a bit of banter, but what you deem as "banter" is the polar opposite. You're attempting to create a inferiority complex and then when it backfires, claim it's "banter". I'd much rather talk to the sensible and respectable fans on the Fulham/Southampton/Tottenham/Manchester United boards. Most Chelsea fans on here are blinded with delusion and just come across as incredibly pedantic.

If you're going to take things so literal, then you maybe aren't the brightest yourself. It's "banter" is it not? That seems to be what Chelsea fans believe falls into that category of speech.

We have different owners, a different Managers and different players from last time. Our new owners (the Allams) are businessmen who are a lot more sensible in the transfer market than our previous owners who were utterly clueless on how to run a football Club (i.e. giving 4 year long contracts with no relegation clauses to players that are complete ****e).

This visit, however short it may be, will be financially beneficial to our Club (20th place this Season is worth more than finishing 1st place last Season) and will help improve the infrastructure/training facilities/youth academy etc and hopefully we will get our new Stadium and become an established Premier League side, if not this year, in the near future.

Again, you're attempting to create an inferiority complex between yourselves and us. You seem to forget that you technically 'bought' your success just like Manchester City have done. Until very recently, you were a mediocre side and then the insane Roman Abramovic decided to give you a few £££s to earn yourselves a couple of titles and trophies.

The common trend of success in the English Leagues, shows a clear division between the North & South divide. If you're in/around London, you're more likely to be bought by wealthy businessmen and do well. We're Hull City, not the most fashionable Club in the Country, but have risen from the basement of football (in 1999/2000 we were almost relegated to the Conference) and then in 2008 we made it to the PL for the first time in our History. Of course we're going to make the most of our time in the top flight, visit some of the Countries biggest and famous Stadiums because it's new to our Club.

 

Well said mate, who cares about our results, I'm just going to enjoy being a PL club again. Anybody who says we don't deserve to be in the Premier League should have their tongue beaten wafer thin with a meat tenderizer and then stapled to the floor with a croquet hoop.

 

Good to see Chelsea fans starting a rivalry with Hull. With Hull on the up and Chelsea in decline ( Champions of Europe to laughing stock of Europe & from 1st in England to just about getting top 4 ) its clear you too will have an almighty mid table battle in 2 years time.
