Michael Laudrup row won't stop Swansea City aiming at transfer targets The Swans say they are close to a second summer signing after wrapping up the Jose Canas deal this week Who do you think it might be?
Yeah we have an option until 20th June apparently. 6m EUR could be considered a bit costly though http://www1.skysports.com/football/...n-on-making-Jonathan-De-Guzman-loan-permanent
think you might be right! i think its a good move but the problem with buying a loan player is that its like buying something on credit, no feel good factor of a new signing!
Swan spot on there. When you hear of a new signing its the excitement of who it is going to be. When it is someone you have already seen play for the year. It is a bit of a flat feeling to say the least. 6M seems a bit rich, But he is a Dutch full international, so i suppose it isnt bad money.
Don't think €6 mill sounds so much. It's about £4,2 mill which would seem fair for a full international, if not a bargain. He should better his performances though...
Alejandro Pozuelo. 21 year old real betis winger. He is a Swansea target plus Betis have told him he is aloud to leave for about 1.5 million.
We must be adding more touch lines to the field - all these wingers. Perhaps we are going with a 2-7-1 formation
Swansea City look set to go Spanish once more after eyeing up a move for Espanyol defender Jordi Amat. The Swans are keen to press on with transfer plans despite the disruption caused by the recent public row with manager Michael Laudrup and his agent. And that is understood to include a deal for Spain Under 21 centre-back Amat. The 21-year-old has a contract with the Barcelona-based club until 2016 but impressed last season with a loan spell at fellow La Liga side Rayo Vallecano. And sources both in the UK and in Spain have indicated Swansea are keen on a deal that could see him arrive at the Liberty for around £2m. Regardless of the row over transfer policy involving his agent Bayram Tutumlu, Laudrup had been keen on bringing in a centre-half to boost defensive options. And Amat - who has more than 50 Spanish top-flight appearances to his name despite his age - could yet fit the bill. A successful deal would also free up a loan switch to Birmingham for Kyle Bartley, something the Championship club would be keen on as a sweetener in a potential move for the Blues’ England Under 21 winger Nathan Redmond. . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vwIpmJjVWY&feature=player_embedded

I'd like Ince to come to us. Also we are apparently looking at Wakaso Mubarak of Villarreal. He was loaned out to Espanyol last season. Dunno if we need him if we sign JDG
Wasn't the JDG deal off? Whatever, signing anyone will take the spotlight off the current shannanigans for a while at least.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11731/8773836/transfer-news-swansea-keen-on-making-jonathan-de-guzman-loan-permanent Sources close to the Spanish club say Swansea have until 20 June to exercise their option to sign the Canadian-born Dutch international
I think HJ thinks they are asking too much for him, â¬6m has been quoted. The problem is that the current £-⬠exchange rate holds little value for UK-European trade, from our perspective. This is, in my opinion, the root cause for the tepid transfer activity we are currently experiencing in the UK. The exchange rate between ⬠and £ simply offers little if any value to Uk businesses, including UK football clubs. Currently â¬6M equates to over £5M, recently â¬6M equated to just less than £4M. Due to this, player/asset value has substantially decreased, slowing the business of UK trade with Europe, and trade between UK and European clubs, from a flood to a drip.
Flood or drip, JDG needs to get signed pronto! I know some give him stick,i have myself but overall he is a fine player and will get better. £5m quid for a dutch international attcking midfielder who scored8 and assisted 10 goals last season, it aint rocket science to see his good points are stronger than his bad points. We were prepared to go to £8m for siggy who didnt assist quite as much and scored a couple more goals so it really is a no brainer..if JDG still wants to come here that is
Dunno if we are desperate for him unless Michu is now classed as a striker but a welcome singing. Who would be our first team midfield players Michu attack Britton defensive JDG attack Canas defensive Ki attack/defensive Kemmy defensive I think kemmy's time is up with us now tho especially if we do sign JDG
