I'm getting rather worried as I've been hearing rumours all day that Everton are preparing £8M bid for Snoddy !! <yikes>

<laugh> i saw that on twitter last night and smelt a rat!

i, and others to be fair, decided to question the guy who said his 'source' had spoken in person to chris hughton and robert snodgrass' agent yesterday and that the agent was at goodison yesterday. i knew that was bollocks immediately - hughton isn't even in the country and he didn't know who snoddy's agent is when asked. people jumped on him and he got all arsey, dishing out abuse to everyone! honestly, it's total bull****.

on that matter, there are so many of those little children on there at the moment who claim to be 'ITK' as they call it - its a great game if anyone is interested, outing them all! there's a few of us winding them up by ****ing with them. people on twitter who actually do know anything won't tend to release information as it can jeopardise a deal or even worse, jeopardise their chances of being informed in the future! you might get the odd hint or indirect comment but never substantial information such as for example, "toivonen to sign 3 year deal with norwich on thursday according to my source", so its very easy to tell who talks ****e - basically anyone who claims they are in the know!! <laugh>

as for possible transfers, here's one that escaped my attention yesterday but he's a player i really like, albeit from watching spanish football on tv! could we be one of the clubs interested?

BBC is reporting that Shola Ameobi is stalling on extending his contract at Newcastle. He is said to have told Pardew that he is "thinking things over". When asked how he could be contacted he gave Newcastle a phone number -- apparently it was for the Norwich branch of Asda. <ok>

I do wonder if he's going to sign an extension at Celtic? If he hadn't given them some indication that he might then you've got to say they'd be crazy to turn down even £4m with only a year left?
Come the Jan window he's going to go for a song !
Maybe Hooper himself is waiting for a more fashionable club to show an interest?

I think Hull have made an error bidding so much straight off. I would have gone in with a bid thats ridiculously low maybe even £2.5m. This would have made £4.5m seem like so much more.

I think Hull have gone in to try and get a deal done quickly but its obvious that Celtic are trying to get as much as possible for Hooper. I think it will be around the £6m mark.

bang on the money, literally <ok>

hull know we and possibly others are interested - they've gone in with a bid of around £4.7m i understand. that's not a bad offer at all - i think they'll increase it but i reckon someone will bid £6m and that will secure him. i still think that someone will be us. it was the offer we made in january so we won't technically be paying over the odds as such as we were willing to pay it back then. celtic will rip their arms off for £6m right now and personally, i think £6m is his value, even if he is out of contract in 12 months time.

Apparently Hearts are putting their entire squad up for sale. Anyone of interest there?

According to Tribal Football, this is the latest on Toivenon:

PSV Eindhoven chief Marcel Brands says they've given Norwich City permission to hold talks with Ola Toivonen. The Canaries have had a £4.7 million offer for the Sweden striker accepted by PSV. "We have given Norwich permission to talk with Ola," Brands said. "We don't have an agreement, but they are willing to meet our requirements. It's up to the player."

IF we were to get Hooper we would IMO, have a mouth-watering front two and with the addition of possibly Toivonen, could possibly line up like this for the first game:

Ruddy

Martin - R Bennett - Bassong - Garrido

Snodgrass - Howson - Toivonen

Hoolahan

Van Wolfswinkel - Hooper

Now on paper that looks fecking good IMO <ok>
