They are. But they also stand to lose him for nothing next summer as well.

The multi coloured affairs? I nearly bought a red one up there but the garden was the size of a postage stamp. They're horrible too.

I'd rather have Odemwingie than Hooper. You can't argue with a proven 1 in 3 record in the PL. Hooper is no better than Championship standard in the SPL pitting your wits and getting a decent goal return in the PL is a bit different to proving yourself against the dearth of ****e in the SPL.

Why dont we get Schwarzer in for a season, and then stick 2 fingers up to Leicester by signing kasper on a pre contract agreement for next season therefore giving them nothing. I would prefer to have Schwarzer in goal next season anyway, he is reliable, has so much experience and would be the perfect keeper to help us stay in the premier league next season.

I think out of all the keepers being bounded about... The Turkish international Sinan Bolat seems the best bet.

"However, news from the international press is now leaning towards Steve Bruce registering his interest in Turkish international Sinan Bolat. The former Standard Liege star has left the Belgian Juniper League side as a free agent after a overcoming a serious cruciate ligament injury, but did feature prominently in a successful Champions League campaign the season before injury, scoring a goal (no really!) and keeping 19 clean sheet in 52 games across the season as a whole. Once again, watch this space..."

ALl the players we have been linked to are also targets for other clubs... can't Bruce go look abroad like he did at wigan and pick out the next rodallega or figueroa ?

Honestly why Elmander? He's exactly what we don't need. Lacklustre season, 32 years old and recent set of injuries. 400k is cheap but I he'll probably be on high wages. I really don't want him.

SEB needs a good season in the Champ rather than a jump to the Prem. He was hardly great last season and is at a crossroads in his career, if we'd blown it I'd have happily had him but he's not EPL back-up quality on recent form.

<laugh> Is he a world class horticulturist? It's the Jupiler League, named after Belgium's best selling beer.

Nit-picking aside, he'd be my number one choice, especially as he'd cost nothing.

I REALLY cannot understand why anyone would want us to sign Sylvain Ebanks-Blake.

Did we learn nothing from signing Aaron McLean?

    He ain't good enough!!

He's had great seasons in the champ but never quite made the step up. Can't blame him for having a bad season in that 'team' last season. I wouldn't have him now regardless, we have fryatt who is of equal quality for backup, we need stand outs, toppings, not fillings.

I can't really remember too much about him from his one decent season at Bolton. I think they paid decent money for him didn't they? He then left on a Bosman.

I agree with "glennon" - Odemwingie would be my choice of all the strikers we've been linked with.
As for keepers, my preference would be Bolat.

    Yupp!

"On 27 June 2008, Elmander completed a move to Premier League club Bolton Wanderers,[6][7] for an £8.2 million fee, the club's record signing, with the deal including Daniel Braaten going to Toulouse."

Had a really poor start before be got going during his last season. He would be very welcome here anyway as far as I'm concerned :)
I've seen plenty of him in the Swedish national team/media.

Elmander was a great player for Bolton. He was more or less a McLean-esque type player when he first joined them but really turned it on in his last Season with them. I'd definitely take Elmander for that price. Bloody bargain. Even if he doesn't pay off, we only payed under £500k for him which isn't bad really considering McLean cost over £1million.
