Does this include Aspas or not?

The attacking midfielder or offensive player could very likely be Luis Alberto.

20 extra goals is very ambitious. If he pulls it off he could make history.

Atm I'd hope for 15-25 from Sturridge.

8-10 from Borini (ok a long was from his 2 so far).

    8+ from Coutinho and Gerrard.

30 from Suarez if he sticks around.

i think it does. aspas is the offensive player and i think the 20 goals are across the two players.

    That would be interesting.

I think AVB is the perfect fit for Spurs. If they loose him they could be screwed. I doubt Harry would go back, that treated him unfairly.

Just been on a Celta forum (I know) and they're gutted he's gone and that they didn't get more for him. They reckon he'll be a tidy prem player, sounds promising.

Remember when we Signed Coutinho there was a link to a Inter site, and the reaction of the Inter fans. Anyone remember what site that was? Would like to go back and see what they thought of his form since the move

I have an Italian friend who supports Inter. I posted a picture of Coutinho signing on Facebook and he said he was gutted.

I'd like some Sevilla opinions on Luis Alberto.

On Aspas, I read an article that putting a negative spin on him by saying he doesnt play for the Spanish national team. But that made me think of Luis Garcia. After a few years with us he was in Spains first Euro winning team.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Edit: Here ids a Barca forum discussing Luis Alberto.

    http://www.barcaforum.com/showthread.php/10402-Luis-Alberto-Romero

    Some highlights:

-So... 21 appearances, 9 goals, 9 assists. Not bad for debut season.

You guys think he has future with us?

-I wish..... He's kind of in the no mans land area. Not a good enough midfielder to take off Cesc/Iniesta/Thiago and not a good enough forward to take off Messi. He's too good of a talent to be relegated to the bench and rotating between AM/CF when we are resting first team players. I wish him great success wherever he does end up though.

-Bonafide goalscorer - unselfish, skilled & competitive...what's not to like except his buy option is a fairly high €4 million...He has a future for sure, would like to see it here

-I think he is good enough for Sevilla ,not for us tbh ,but he is interesting prospect nevertheless

-... wow 27 games 10 goals ans 16 assists ... thats just incredible

The general idea is he is not wanted by Barca fans, but not because he is a bad player. Just because he wont get games ahead of the senior players and doesnt deserve to be just a squad player. But they see plenty of potential in him.

    Exactly.

Assuming he fits best as a right forward, he has Mata, Navas and David Silva to compete with.

THink BR is going the wrong way - we need to tighten up at the back not score more.

We conceded 3 goals in a game four times last season. That is simply not acceptable
Worse, it was to such powerhouse teams - Villa, West Brom, Stoke and Southampton (incidently, we lost all four games).

We should be looking to tighten up by 15-20 goals. We've got plenty of creativity and now we're getting the players to finish. The fact we've had most shots on target of any team (for the past two seasons, I believe) shows we're making opportunities, but execution has been poor, but is improving. The players involved have been young, so they should continue their development. Its at the back where we've had experience, but this hasn't translated into a markedly better defence - no, we shipped three more goals.

As the article on statistics noted, the biggest improvement in performance can be made by sorting out the defence and getting clean sheets. The aim shoud be to concede no more than 25 goals. Buying Strikers and Wingers isn't going to close up the leaks at the back.

The Liverpool Echo still reiterate Papadopoulos is our main target and we expect to strike a deal.

True. I'm sure Rodgers is on the case and hopefully we can get Papa in to give us a more physical edge to our defence.

Rodgers is working on both ends of the pitch.

    Toure, Ilori, Papa.

    Aspas, Luis Alberto, Mkhitaryan.

Here is a good discussion point.

If Carroll was added to our squad next season, how many goals do you think he could add for us over the season?

Suso - "Next year I'll probably stay at Liverpool. I know there are quite a few offers but I will not go. I'm happy at Liverpool."

Mkhitaryan and Papa are the key additions for me - both can go straight into the first team and deliver. Aspas could be another but I'm unsure if he can rise to the level - as we've seen with others, players without the big team experience can struggle or take time to settle.

The best thing about these two are that they are versatile - Papa can play as CB and DM (cover for Lucas) and Mkhit can play across the front line, AM, CM or as a deep lying MF.

Luis Alberto may not be a huge addition straight away being only 20. He could take a similar place to Sterling, Wisdom, Suso and Shelvey. Unless he bursts on the scene in style, in which case he will really challenge for a place.

Aspas could be similar to what Rodgers had in mind for Borini (and still has in mind for Borini I assume).
