Transfer news: Brighton midfielder Liam Bridcutt wanted by a host of clubs
    By Pete O'Rourke - Follow me: @skysportspeteo. Last Updated: June 11, 2013 2:37pm

Sky Sports understands a host of clubs are tracking highly-rated Brighton midfielder Liam Bridcutt.

Bridcutt is regarded as one of the best players outside the Premier League and he impressed again last season as Brighton reached the play-off semi-finals.

The 24-year-old has established himself as a key member of the Seagulls side since arriving at the club in 2010 and he has recently broken into the Scotland squad.

Brighton are bracing themselves for bids for the influential midfielder after missing out on promotion.

Premier League new boys Cardiff City and Hull City as well as Championship duo Queens Park Rangers and Reading are all thought to be keeping tabs on Bridcutt's situation at the Amex Stadium.

Bridcutt still has two years to run on his contract and Brighton would be loathe to lose their star midfielder this summer.

Putting the lad's best interests first, would you really recommend him to come to us at the moment?

I've watched Solly at close quarters over the last year or so. And he is going to be some player. Brilliant quick feet. Alas, probably better off at Brighton for the time being

Agree has a wonderful way of going pass a player effortlessly ... just like his dad who still believes he was better. Had the pleasure of playing with him a few times and convinced he will make the big time ... about to explode next season. It's written in my own destiny that he will play well against QPR i just know it. He is on course to easily become the best from Sussex and my home town.

    Little bugger:

He looks very good indeed, a proper left footer who can also cross with his right. And I bet he's nicely spoken too.

If he keeps that standard up in the NPC the big boys will be after him very quickly. Hope he's looked after properly.

"Where's my dinner" is about al you can get out of him according to his Mum and Dad ... he eats it then he goes out in his new Merc with Mackail-Smith.

He hasn't spoken to me for a while on Twitface so i guess he is growing up quickly now. SB call your new dog: Alan
