on shirts... adidas had more than their fair share of minging kits.

a lot of the 3 stripe ones in the 90s were just about sacrilege. anyone rememebr fat john barnes free kick in 1992 fa cup semi v pompey? his celebration comes to mind with the 3 stripes over one shoulder..... horrible kit.

anyway.... reebok were cheap asses... i think warrior are just a one off short deal and we'll be back to the big companies like adidas in short order.... especially if in cl.

To be fair, Warrior improved our previous deal massively. They offered way more than what the 'big companies' were prepare to. **** third kits isn't a bad sacrifice - who buys them anyway?

they did, however i think the previous deals were very CHEAP and we were screwed by adidas. that's my opinion of a club in the cl final in 2007 for instance. thanks parry! I think if we get back up there adidas or dare i mention nike would come in for us.

Its lucrative business third kits were in for years before warrior? plus keeper kits etc.... i just think warrior stuff was cheap looking

  4. My first kit (and I had the full red, yellow and white kits) was the mid-80's Crown Paints by Adidas, still got the red shirt but don't know where the rest went.

91-92 green Candy kit was my first (and thinking back I think it was a hand down from my brother)

    I absolutely loved it

  9. The red 82-85 and yellow 81-84 are available in Sports Direct at the minute, £30 a piece mind but reckon thats what I'm getting rather than this Warrior BS

remember david james' dyed hair in that shirt as well.... just one symptom of the situation that we had.... win things you don't have sloppy hairs keepers with dyed hair.

oh and my first ever kit was 1988 grey away shirt. i think i got the home one too but the gray one sticks out for me.

@thisisanfield: Rodgers: "I’m looking at another offensive player to give us a real threat on goal and another attacking midfield player." #LFC

Like the sound of that! :D

Assuming that means no more CB's or is this a double bluff (non yank version) and he means a keeper & a CB?

  14. I'm hoping we'll get those plus a defender or two too.

    Full quote:

"We need one/two centre-halves, and I'm looking to bring 20 more goals into the team - so I'm also looking at an offensive player to give us a real threat on goal and another attacking midfield player,"

    Very encouraging :)

I think he's had a word personally and said Utd, Chelsea, City, Everton are all starting with new managers - Spurs most likely won't be as good as last year so this is a chance, if we get the right players in, to rocket up the table.
